Eh! 😁 If anyone tries to question it I laughingly say I was born in the Capital of Canada! lol! 😂 And my “ethnic” origins is Scottish and African descent (50/50 Ancestry DNA and 23andMe confirmed) of Caribbean lineage. I don’t like to say race as we are of the human race, one race. If we follow our family trees back, way back, our trees spread out, WAYYYY OUT ~ we all will overlap at some point. Just saying.🧐😉 We are of different ethnicities and cultures. My culture is Canadian/Caribbean with French and British and Scottish roots. I say this to say that I NEVER answer job applications when they ask for “race,” NEVER. It’s none of their business. There was a time that they never asked that. I do not want any discrimination whether choosing for or against me. It’s none of their business. Absolutely none. I will only say that I’m female. That is it. They can try to figure me out upon interview with my credentials. Haha! 😂
I m willing to help but what job you want for a work? Trudeau or whoever cannot give you job

Canada?
It's hard to get a decent job, anywhere! At least it is, without an advanced education. That's not just in Canada. (I hear the same complaints from Americans, Europeans, etc.)
At the same time, inflation is high, everywhere!
Study software engineering, find any job and move to some cheap outdated country and work remote. Whatever little money they will pay you, this will be highest income in you new country. You will live like a king there.
Dude… say you’re a Gay Métis. They can’t legally check if you’re Métis and it’s also legal to self-identify as Métis because the history with Métis tends to be murky. Do what you gotta do to get the bag. Once you’re in nobody will be interrogating you about how you got hired and what boxes you checked.
I often wonder why people, you in this case say the things they say without really thinking it out. You say " it's really hard to get a job in Canada " as if it's small town ... and your choices are limited. It's Canada a country.. If you're having trouble finding work through out a entire country, you have major issues Bubba !
Army will hire you in a minute.
Yeah, but you have to pass the force test first. It's tough, as you need to be in good shape to pass it. The salaries are not great, either.
Also I think the army has an age limit too?
@@Tiejocky Yeah but it is like 54 or something.
Russian army is hiring
No it's not hard to find a job in BC, it's hard to find a job that meets your expectations
All those questions are weasel words designed too legally discriminate against you so they can be seen as more inclusive at the expense of denying you access to gainful employment. In the country of your birth …….this is totally unacceptable and should be stopped.
I have been here in Canada for 15 years, I never experienced such a weak economy before. I think it might worse with Trump tariffs before it gets better.
Hello Indiada!!😅😅😅😅
Government heve to do something we don't need work permit people come from abroad work permit workers its broplem and lower wages also
Hey Evan, instead of travelling here , there and everywhere , stay home and work towards finding a job. Instead of complaining about not getting a job, work towards getting some new skills and improving your attitude. If I was an employer and watched this video, you would never be hired. Your political statements are unnecessary You could return to Cayman, you have been gone a year , where you can work at another hotel. I understand your frustration but this is not the way to get hired. No job but you buy a new camera. Give your head a shake.
Man to get job its very hard and tough one year i can't find job really i think there is job discrimination to get job really
I will suggest you a job but i must know first what job you like to work?
Bus driver can you drive or garbage collector truck driver or garbage utility collector pls comment i want to help you guidance to look job fit you😊😊😊
I feel compassion to help you but i must know what job you are looking for?
Wait till you became America⁉️🤣
Get into 55+ housing amd you'll pay 30 percent of your wage...whatever your wage might be...👍
There are very few good jobs and they don't pay very well anyway.
Dont blame race. There are not many admin jobs out there. Get into a trade. Lots of jobs.
Are u just trying to get professional jobs? You mentioned Univ of Vancouver so I assume so. Learn truck driving! At least you can wrk while still pursuing the professional job
Ask your Honduran wife maybe?
Just lie and say you're gay on the application.
Because Canada favors cheap foreign labor
if you're that fixed on living in bc...
Merit has gone out the window.
Tell them that you're gay and join the Navy they're always looking for good men.
Good Luck Mate. As an recent immigrants i know everyone blames us for every problem. But blame the government because of their greedy nature. We are also in the same boat of yours survival mode.
You blame our government? For what? Not catering to your every need?
Yeah, I blame our government for letting ungrateful whiners like you, into our beautiful country! We don't need you!
And if you don't like it, Mate. You can always leave. (in fact, i encourage it)
It’s because you are in freaking BC lol
Just leave the frozen lands and settle abroad
it not that easy
@energyflowswhereattentiongoes arrange 30 k and in any country you can resettle
Lots of jobs where I live. Trying to find locals to work is a different story. People are doing good overall so that’s probably why. No homeless or immigrant riff raffs. We don’t tolerate that around these parts. Then again, if you’re not from here you’ll never be accepted. Canadian or otherwise. Just the way it is I guess.
where do you live?
"Hire base on diversity, not qualifications."
They've been hiring based on race for over 400 years. Of course it doesn't benefit you, you now don't agree with it. Perhaps you're actually not qualified, or they're better candidates than you ? But because you're a certain race, you feel you should get that job ?
can you elaborate? DEI is a thing....
We Indians taking all the hate LOL 3:00 Very Nice very very Nice
Sometimes the truth hurts…
Indians took over my project in Burnaby, because they work cheaper. Lol.. I'm not mad, just saying...
Yeah
Lol
Because of people who will work for $5 h and scam the system
Because you're no good.
You can blame it on immigrants.
