Haven’t seen this performance since it aired. It’s still so good. I was a huge fan of her on Canadian Idol, voted for her after this performance and almost every performance. I was so shocked when I first heard Call Me Maybe five years later because it was so different than anything else she had done on the show
I've only became aware of Carly Rae Jepsen recently as in the last 6 years because of the popularity of her song Call Me Maybe and while that was her biggest song to date. I wanted to learn more about her background and where she came from, and that's how I found out about this. That's what made me like the Call Me Maybe song even more, because it made me aware of her other work. A lot of people tend to ignore her mostly because they've only heard Call Me Maybe and nothing else but I wanted to give Carly a chance to see if she had done anything else other than that and I really liked her older work, so I stuck with her.
Emotion is one of the best pop albuns of this decade. She got a lot of better songs than Call Me Maybe. It makes me sad that people only know this side of her
@@vlad934 Yes it is really good, even though it sounds nothing like any of Carly's later songs with the fast paced techno pop style which is what today's fans are accustomed to hearing from her but that was the point because the slower folk guitar tunes was Carly's original style of music before she went mainstream. Everybody has to start somewhere.
Her voice isn't like this any more. It's aged and deteriorated massively. Studio magic keeps her sounding girlish on her albums, but it's obvious in interviews.
The queen of pop.
It is now 2019. 12 years after this video. Enrique & Carly released a song together "Lalala (Remix)"
Carly you hit it out of the park with this one ☝️ ❤😊
Her voice is perfect for this song!
