    Zapala was a monster down-low tonight, very aggressive, while playing nearly mistake free.

    Schedule is very very favorable. A lot of marginal teams coming up. Up to a road trip to USC/UCLA. Then home against Oregon. Even then, Oregon is at home, along with Wisconsin, Michigan, Purdue and I think Illinois.
    Unlike in years past, Izzo has made a manageable schedule that could get him a 1 seed.

      Do u think Xavier booker and zapala suck?

    • @YTSparty
      @YTSparty 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LionsAreBetterThnKc No, Izzo hasn't played bigs like Zapala in a long time. Usually bigs like him are used when you play a team with a real big guy, not as a starting player. It's not like Zapala was a 5-star candidate. He didn't play many minutes where he came from. So seeing him contribute this much is shocking.
      And Booker, even through the beginning of this season looked like he had a long path to starting. Personally I love the change. The team reminds me of the 90s Pistons, they have every kind of player you could want.

    Who had money Zappala and Booker would be getting this many minutes and being huge contributors at the begin of season? It must be our new bigs coach doing wonders. I can't remember an Izzo team with this many dynamic bigs. I seriously thought Zappala was going to be an occasional bench guy.
    Kudos to Aikens for quietly getting double digit scoring again. I am always shocked at the box score, I can barely remember him scoring.

    Anyone notice they were wearing Notre Dame green fleece? That's not MSU green. It's the blue-green that Notre Dame wears. We pulling for ND?

      Where you been? I've seen them wear those colors in a few games so far. As long as there is a Spartan on the jacket, I dont care what color it is (unless its blue)😁

      Does have have a capable back-up? Gonna need it if his carries increase too much more. Once a QB crosses the line of scrimmage, he has a target on his back.

      @BobSchaar I mean aiden has looked really smart while running so I can't dqy he'll be injury free but he'll definitely look better on the carriers

      Well MSU just lost Jalen Thomspson because he's from another state. There are a million reasons you recruit hardest, the closest to campus. Even schools like Ohio State, Georgia and Bama have mostly local kids. It's just far easier to establish contacts and follow players that are nearby.

      I was thinking the same thing, i checked his high school stats, he wasn’t great shooting it then either! I dont understand why we insist on having him take these shots when hes 7 ft and scores well enough under the rim

    • @Knizzle28
      @Knizzle28 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      Kohler is the one who needs to stop. Book gotta keep shooting he just need to do it within the offense.

    • @hawkstetler
      @hawkstetler 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Adreian Payne "couldn't shoot the 3 ball" when he started either. When he finally did start, you had to respect that by defending him outside, thus freeing up his teammates. He became a bigger threat. If Booker gets like that, it will be the same effect. So relax, he can't get better by NOT shooting the ball. Just like most people.

    Let's not act like beating the Buckeyes is a huge deal. MSU is like 44-23 against the Buckeyes like the last 30 plus years... Some of you weren't even born. Time to give Saddi some credit for these big men. He's done an amazing job.

    Booker shines at times … gives us hope. Carr is steadily improving show a huge upside. Our bigs are by committee at this point … they take turns having great games. I’m ok with that !!
    The guards are dynamic and will keep improving. Jaden needs to be more aggressive, but is a steady player.
    Football ? … get a significant change in the offensive line or go home.
