Nadasurabhi, Bangalore presents the concert of one of the prominent and most successful artists from Karnataka, Kum. Amrutha Venkatesh. This is the second concert being released in the month of March 2022. Amrutha is known for her perfect control on sruti, layam and swara sthaanam and her music is appreciated by both specialists and laymen in the field of carnatic music. She is accompanied in this concert by highly sought after artists who provide instrumental support with great understanding and finesse- B.K.Raghu on violin and B.S.Prashant on mridangam.
Recording was done at the Shaale Studio in Bangalore.

A Seamless Search of Simmendra Madhyamam! Outstanding. A mind blowing Manodharmam. An amazing Exploration in persistent pursuit of Excellence. She's singing like a Champion ! Her Vocal Chord just obeying her Command and dancing to the will of her mind. Excellent Bowing Support from Violinist Raghu beautifully extending Amrutha's AAlaabanaa as a natural Corollary. The Best Version of Simmendra Madhyamam I have ever heard in my Life Time So far ! This kind of singing may set a New High Standard for Classical Concerts. Equally Sparkling was the preceding Poorna Chandrika.

Thoroughly enjoyable concert. Ambujam Krishna's Namao Narayana was the stand out. The madhyama kaala rendering there was flawless, inspite of tough string of words ....what a commitment and poise

In gowla low notes are very clearly auscilated with jaarus. Accompanist so nicely followed amirthas notes. Simply superb.

I just now got time to listen to her. I have been an ardent fan of this vocalist whose vidwath, manodarmam, repertoire defy her age. I have been listening to her right when she started singing at a very young age -20( if I am correct)
If at this age she is giving such scintillating performances one can imagine the heights to which she would go in the years to come. God bless her. Thanks to Nadasurabhi for arranging this concert. Talking of Raghu and Prashant, these are artists with extraordinary talent whom i have listened to many times. Very enjoyable . It would be nice to give introduction in Kannada if the artist is from Karnataka and when the performance is in Karnataka. If Kannadigas dont speak Kannada, who else will?

I am Tamil, but I too agree with your sentiment. Here in Chennai, the central "hub" of Carnatic Music, so to speak, all concert formalities are handled in English. While it makes sense that a diverse audience necessitates the use of a link language; like you said, if we don't speak our native languages, who will? We could do with at least, a little more of our vernaculars in an official capacity.

I differ. Only a relaxed rendition makes the music more enjoyable. It has nothing to do with Speed. Each Raagaa has its own tempo and scale. It's absurd to make a generalised comment and expect every Raagaa to be sung at an increased pace. She's been doing a fantastic job giving sparkling performances consistently drawing a good crowd and earning the appreciation of both learned people as well as lay audience alike. (She's a Recipient of the Best Young Vocalist Award from the Music Academy for 6 Continuous Years. I think from 2012 to 2017). One can't expect Carnatic Musicians to play to the gallery / masses compromising on their own standards. Not fair to compare with another artist . Everyone has his or her own style and that should not be disturbed when the going is Great. Also, Not Every musician 's Voice & Singing style is liked by Everyone. What's good for me need not be good for others and vice versa.
A v good concert,Rama Rama Guna ..in simhendramadhyamam ,i thought sruti was not well aligned a little more concentration towards sruti..

They are from Raama Varma who indeed picked them from BMK.
