This is one of the most detailed & well produced things I’ve ever seen. As a content creator/videographer, I know the editing time on this video took mad diligence! WELL DONE!!!
Great video! I grew up in SLC so I’ve been to many of these locations. My dad is actually friends with the people who own Smalls house so I’ve been a couple times.
This is awesome! We just got back from Utah , we ran into a guy who was a camera man for the movie and mentioned the actual sandlot was not too far. We drove there and and obviously found out it was private property and couldn’t get any decent pictures of the field. Thank you for the awesome job done on this video.👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! It is disappointing when you find out how inaccessible the sandlot normally is. I found out last minute about the anniversary event, but booked a ticket straight away!
my sister wasnt a sports nut growing up.. she played softball for a few years but she was the family musician/artist. i am 10 years older then her. well growing up she was obsessed with The sandlot! between this and finding nemo i probably watched both movies in its entirety close to a hundred times! those were the days! i havent watched it since i was 15 ish. its time for a rewatch
Always a great time to rewatch the Sandlot! I got annoyed with Finding Nemo back when it came out because it seemed like every school, campground, or pool hosting a movie night would show it (Plus, my brother was at the age where he just watched the same movies REPEATEDLY and Finding Nemo was one of them). It's so good though. Thomas Newman's music makes that movie!
This is an extremely rare video of the Sandlot. There is not one video on TH-cam or anywhere that has a on field video of the Sandlot. Lucky to you. Great job on the video of the locations! Also, you did a great job on lining up the exact spots. I really in enjoy seeing shots comparison from the movie and today. Your channel will blow up in no time. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely best movie location video ever! I have watched hundreds of video and your production quality and just easy laid back way of explaining each location is great! Definitely subbed and gonna check out your others as u have covered some of my favorite movies. Keep it up man!!!
well fucking done sir. i must have watched dozens of sandlot videos. nobody else was nearly this thorough. clearly a lot of fucking research. not many films bring back that feeling of childhood and summer. ur video did that. smoke weed every day!
Man..... you do an incredible job matching up the shots. Probably the best on youtube. Also, love the aerial shots and mapping. Great editing as well. Hope the channel takes off.
I have to applaud you on an amazing video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The Sandlot is my favorite movie and I’ve never seen such an in-depth breakdown of the various locations. Great job! Also, such a bummer Mike Vitar never goes to the anniversary events, always wondered why.
randomly came across this vid better then the other 2 classic 90s movie...one that never gets old YOUR KILLING ME SMALLS! a movie that i hope never gets remade best locations then other videos i seen including adamthewoo
@@GoingtotheMoviesthe level of detail you put in these is always astounding! From the matching shot layovers, to the editing, it was good dude! Can’t believe you stood in lines for 7 hours to get those autographs!
Loved the video man! If you ever liked Stand by Me, the town Brownsville, Oregon and various other spots were filmed not far from me. Would love to see your take on it.
@@GoingtotheMovies you’re welcome! oh I bet, it’s really hard to film on those really hot days. It would make me want to quit filming at times. Your efforts are definitely noticed!
@@GoingtotheMovies You will have a great time! I’m not sure if you have seen our quintessential 80’s classic called BMX bandits at all? While your down here in Oz, I’d love for some body to do a filming location for this movie, it was filmed around Manly near Sydney and started Nicole Kidman before she went Hollywood! Keep up the great work!
It really bums me out that the field is private property. I live just north of salt lake, watched this movie countless times as a kid, and now my little boy is obsessed with it. He has to wear his glove and hat every time he watches so he can be like the boys. It would make his life if I could take him to see it
I can see myself at 13:19 woohóo and yes it took forever to get all the autos, the technical difficulties that happened at the first of the movie was kind of funny cause we all started shouting "this is taking for everrrrr" 😂😂😂😂 def worth the wait but really wish Smalls and the Jet and Peppercorn where there 🤷🏼
Thanks! Glad you and your son liked it! I was in SLC for about 3 days, but if just taking pictures you could probably hit everything in a day. The editing took a couple of weeks once I finally sat down and forced myself to finish it 😂
Great video did anyone mention to you that four buildings north of that park is the church and the seminary building from the original footloose. It was also filmed here in American Fork a lot of the filming locations.❤
As I was leaving the field, a couple who worked in real estate gave me a bunch of spots to go see but I was unfortunately heading to the airport by that point. I was totally focused on Sandlot for this trip but plan to get back to Utah very soon for more videos!
We live in American Fork. My husband grew up here. This year is the 40 th anniversary of Footloose and Kevin Bacon will be back here next month to go to Prom , the students from Payson Utah high school where the high school scenes were filmed petitioned for him to come . He agreed to and then they are tearing down the school I think in June😃 I believe we found your channel from @Scott on tape ✌️

I grew up just north of SLC, and I watched the Sandlot countless times as a kid, but I had no idea it was filmed in my backyard 😭

@@kbell2629 About it being filmed in Utah, or that I grew up here? 🤨
@@kbell2629u don’t know that it might of been
