- This lecture covers the following topics:
1. Important parameters which affect the heat transfer from surfaces
2. Governing equation for temperature distribution in a fin
3. Infinitely long fin
4. Fin with insulated tip
5. Fin tip with convective heat loss
We will miss you sir .......I don't know how to thank you for fluid mechanics , thermodynamics 1&2 , Heat Transfer ......overall you are God of mechanical engineering.......#RIP SIR 😭
Are bhai jinda hai sir

The Messiah of Thermal Science 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
you have explained it as touchable and not virtual like all of our teachers did,
You are the GOD of Heat transfer Sir, thank you.
you are the best one teacher i have ever meet throughout my thermodynamics till now , and it seems no requirement of others then .
you seems to be one of on FAYMAN'S TECHNIQS .
"Ancient great INDIAN SCIENTIST will definitely have PROUD on you".
Absolutely wonderful. Very good teacher. Greetings from Brazil
Yeah.. brother he is a professor in IIT Kharagpur.. it's one of the best institutions of India.
very great fan of your, dear sir. you taught thermodynamics very well sir. very thankful to you
God of thermal science. You are really great sir.
You are the GOD of thermal science sir... My favorite teacher
Amazing,,
He also taught us how to think
Phenomenal, thank u sir for the explanation in detail manner.
Really, you are the best faculty of ht...

Thanks sir, you have highlighted heat conduction through cross section, besides heat convection through lateral surface clearly and technicaly.
Teacher, you're very professional in heat transfer.
Joy Lee Bro he is professor of IIT kharagpur
@@shubhamthakur1212 sir what is the name of professor

Thanx brother
Is there any email to contact with him I have some questions

How can we calculate characteristic length of trapezoidal fin
Amazing SIR!
Thank you Professor!!!!!!!!!
u cleared my confusion sir
my favourite sir
Nice Lecture from the video. I can try to learn from you.
Why does a condenser in a chiller or split AC outdoor unit have forced circulation even though fins are more effective in natural convection?
Anyone know the song in the beginning?
What is the generalized approach for all the cases, mentioned last of the video?
If we will get the chance to have it , we will be grateful to you
he wanted to say next video
I wish if i will get the chance to do research work under your guidance then it will be honor for me
you are best teacher sir
Thank you sir 🙏
Best !
sir why it is one dimensional heat conduction in fin material while it is transferring in y and z direction too?
abhishek verma because the thickness is very small as compare to width and length
superb sir
S. K som the god of thermal science, love u sir
ty very much sir
I am confused on how to solve at 38:49, someone please help
nice
Respected Sir!
Your lecture is really very helpful to me
I have a question that if we use a porous fin instead of solid one then what will be the effects ?
Hey mate u have a very interesting point to discuss about it.... Have u got any suggestions/solutions/information regarding ur doubt within past months???(I am asking this cause ur comment is pretty much old) if u have then pls share about it.. I am interested in ur doubt and idea of innovation..
Prathamesh Dand yeah dear the efficiency must be enhanced as air can infiltrate through pours in porous fins
@@harisiqbal4091 ok 👍.. but pls tell me about effect of area... As by making it porous I think we are reducing the area by many small holes and I think it cause in reduction in heat transfer... (as Heat loss is proportional to area exposed).. pls answer about my doubt
Prathamesh Dand can i have ur Email
@@harisiqbal4091 will u contact me on instagram pls???
Best in the world
nice lecture
good lecture sir, but sound quality of the video should be improved.
Sir plz take medicne u r suffering from cold in cold wb envuronment.
Sound quality is a bit low
How to tell the difference from the question whether the fin is short fin, insulated fin or infinite fin
Just check value of 'm*L'

2- if mL
