I have a collection of hair receivers. I have a wooden one from my great grandmother, one that has birds on it, and one that has a spring metal cover over the hole. They are neat!

I use mine for keeping rubber hair bands. They're easy to pull out the hole in the top and the lids are usually heavy enough to keep you from having to pull out a whole bunch

Love the repurposing ideas! I have one but it doesn't have any identifying information on it. Do you know how would I go about dating it?

I bought one today because I want to make a hair rat. I already made one without a hair receiver, formed it into a sausage, roll the back of my hair up in a french roll.

The initial is possibly from the person that painted it, if it looks to be hand painted.
