I'd really love to see a Brutally honest airport edition. I'm sure you guys have long-ish layovers where you can maybe go over the finer details of airports. Personally I would absolutely love to see you explore unique airports, whether it be the biggest in the world, or the smallest or the most luxurious. It would be nice to hear you voice out your opinions on the food/prices/entertainment/cleanliness e.t.c it would also be cool to know the prices of the flight so we can gauge if we think as well as viewers if its worth the money (im sure it could lead to discussions in comments which help you) personally I think that information is would be appreciated in the Brutally Honest series.

Nice report as always! As a long time Southwest flyer, I laughed when you said boarding would be fast because everyone would have checked their luggage. Then I laughed again when you saw the truth! The fact is, on short and medium haul flights like these, most people don’t like to take the time to wait at baggage claim, they just want to get out of the airport as quickly as possible.
Flew from Baltimore to Norfolk the other week, and it’s a 30 minute flight. I sweat boarding took 50 minutes because everyone was trying to shove their massive suitcases into the overheads
I love Southwest. As a budget traveler it's how I get around the US. Two free checked bags, ( although I usually carry on). no fee the change your reservations. Entertaining flight attendants. Just basic good air transportation.

I remember those days as well. I aslo remember Braniff trying to run the upstart WN out of business by flying Boeing 720s between Dallas Love and Houston Hobby for twenty bucks. Oops! Anybody seen a Braniff airplane lately? I have always enjoyed flying on Southwest. They could make money by charging to listen to the flight attendant safety messages. They KNOW how to entertain and that people don't usually ignore their messages.
Southwest is a really good airlines ,I love 'em !! Not to mention,a very affordable budget airlines ,but their economy comfort plus ? seats were super comfy when I flew to S.F. from L.A. a few years ago ( '17 ) .It was a gift for my in law's wedding ,so I don't know how much ,but I believe they got it by a free upgrade ,or something !! It wasn't needed as it was a short haul ,but I did really appreciate it & could see how that would make a huge difference in a long international flight !!! 😀👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤✈🎶💞
Used to fly southwest a lot when they had 737-200s. Back then they had these mini club type cabins where 2 rows of seats faced each other with a partition separating from rest of cabin.was great with kids. My sons first flight was southwest. Sadly, they tend to be very expensive from Cleveland for leisure fares..though they do offer a lot more in free extras.

Great report as usual! When you were showing the aerial view of Dallas, the theme song from the t.v. show Dallas came to mind! I went through Dallas many years ago travelling to and from L.A. Never been to Tulsa or Tampa, though! Glad you are still able to travel, even with restrictions due to Covid. Keep safe!
I've only flown once...out of Tampa to Cleveland. So imagine my surprise when I see this flight ended up in Tampa. I want to try SouthWest but slightly hesitant with all this stuff involving Boeings lately.
Southwest in my opinion is best airline in the US. The Cabin crew is is always amazing, free snacks, free entertainment in flight, customer service isn't to bad, and you get two free bags. And they are affordable which is really what I like about them the most.
Flown Southwest from DIA to a lot of places. They get you there in reasonable comfort, for reasonable bucks, and they're real nice about luggage--and you can bring your guitar in the cabin in a gig bag instead of hassling with checking it,in an Anvil case so the bag-smashers can't hurt it. Gets my vote every time!
I'm Australian and our lowcost carriers usually require a pass with a specific seats. However, on UK's Ezyjet, it 'first come first served', & first onboard chooses their favourite.
Ryanair has the largest fleet of Boeing 737 in the entire world. Maybe if the Guinness World Records will include that soon. Btw the safety announcement of Southwest Airlines is so creative in which your stomach might ache because of their funny jokes during the demonstration itself.
From my experience they seemed to have cut back on the jokes a bit, but from time to time I still get a few crew members that love to do that. Shows they care about their job.
I've seen videos of Southwest's style of safety demos. I couldn't stop laughing 🤣 There is one where a flight attendant did a 90s style rap song for the safety demo. That was pretty awesome.
They don't care about that much ,rather than making more profits by charging us & fine us for overweight/ oversized luggage !! Though ,they should consider that to avoid more time they have to pay more for labor for the crews for any delays. 💜🥁🐉🎤✈💞

One time my dad scanned the wrong boarding passes at security in Milwaukee they where the to Milwaukee from Baltimore and not to Milwaukee to Baltimore and it was on southwest!
Amazing airline to fly with. I still remember my flight from San Diego to Philadelphia via Denver, amongst many. I missed the inflight entertainment system, everything else was good. Better than JetBlue.

What are the rules about deplaning during the layover of your continuation flight? Encouraged, discouraged, not allowed? If you do get off, do you then have to wait in the same boarding line with all of the "new" passengers in order to get back on?
While they do have special low fares to a number of destinations, Southwest is not really a low cost carrier anymore. Still a nice product nonetheless.
Southwest would be a great airline for a "Brutally Honest" video. I'm sure David would do a great job of exposing Southwest's "Business Select" and "Early Bird" ripoffs and how their boarding process is so easily taken advantage of by passengers requesting boarding assistance they don't need. Southwest offers a great product for the price, but many passengers who pay extra for "Business Select" and "Early Bird" don't get the enhanced service and priority boarding they paid for.

That is false. easyJet allocates you a seat when you check-in online or you can reserve a seat when you book.
You should try to get a flight in or out of Richmond, Virginia. Great midsized airport and great main checkin hall.
