1:09 is rugby league. Please put it in the headline if it's both codes. Completely different games

i think haka or show boating performances before a game of rugby should now be eliminated. All it does is delay the kickoff and it is meaningless to "set down a challenge" when the challenge is the game itself. Other than trying to unfairly attempt to intimidate before the competition it's a complete farce and waste of time. Kick it for touch.

It's not a form of showboating or intimidation it's a form of cultural heritage to respect those who have also put on the jersey past and present and represent their heritage for their nation with pride. It also signifies respect to opposing teams who face the haka or other forms of war crys in the battle that will be had upon the field as it encourages a well fought battle between both sides and equality for all nations. As well as team bonds and the blood sweat and tears that lead to that moment.

@@K3RS220 The haka has been done to death by the All Blacks it should be limited to the Maoris All Blacks at most. Other than that noone cares about cultural heritage unless you are attending some pointless rally at some socialist campus.

It’s a total waste of time, clearly aimed at intimidating the opponent. Culturally speaking, us Brits would all ignore it and clean our Martini Henry rifles. But we’re not allowed to ignore the show.
