Holy shit, this miniseries is so clever. I love how the trailers aren’t just trailers, but actual episodes as well. The animation just slaps, helped by an excellent array of sounds and styles. I love how oddly relatable the Tryhard is (not the “resorting to cheating via Lmao box” part, but how, no matter how much of a “master” you are to the game, you can still die, you can still lose, and you can still have a bad time or a bad game). But I think that this is the first time that a TF2 sfm animation actually doesn’t focus on which side is better, and yet, despite the change in color and even form, I recognize which characters are which due to the strong characterization and personalities. The only criticism I have is that the dialogue is a bit hard to hear at times. But aside from that, Bloody good job mate! Cannot wait for the next entry!
I think that's kind of the point. We've all had matches like those... where you can't get a kill, where the other team just seems to keep stomping you despite you having much more experience, cooler gear, ect. Makes it relatable when he goes from antagonistic tryhard to villian, and grabs the snipe-bot.

And basically kills him by helping the enemy team, remember this sniper got angry because the p2p/skilled didint like that he saved his life. However helping the enemy team angainst one guy is not really that justified.

I'm new in SFM and yet this is a true masterpiece, the plot, the animation, the voicelines, everything is top notch, I barely made a 10 second scene in SFM and I can't imagine how much time and effort took to make this, I salute you sir and I will be happily support you on patreon.

Although I'm P2P now, I still enjoy the feeling back when I was still F2P without those cosmedics (except the Ghostly Gibus and Pyro Goggles). It is all for fun. Well until an aimbot or bot pops in, the community agrees it ruins fun while the player using it as fun.
The animation is incredible, it's so fluid and impactfull. The action is great, as is the comedy. The dialogue sucks. I cannot understand them half the time.
I get the dialogue being bad and incomprehensible at times. But this "bad dialogue" is pretty much a tradition for every well-done TF2 SFM in the past decade or so to use existing voice lines and merge them together to form sentences. This skill was called Sentence Mixing. It was all those artists got at the time, as paying the actual voice actors to record specific voice lines for their animations would be way more expensive and with that limitation, it breeded more creativity in plot/dialogue writing. These days though, you're gonna see some SFM/GMod shorts that use 15.ai. You can write a sentence on it and then it will let your character of choice speak that sentence with much more clarity than sentence mixing.
@@cintranielli_lime5889 I know this. I've watched tf2 animations for year and I cannot remember the last time I had trouble understanding more than 1 sentence in a sentence mixed animation. People can do this really well, conveying information and making jokes while being clear and understandable. (If slightly awkward.) The animation isn't done yet, so I want to animator to know it was done badly while there is still time to fix it.
P2p player was fighting only one against whole team of F2ps. They just outnumbered him and worst of all his own teammates betrayed him. But still he could wait untill f2ps will be separated and 1v1 kill them aimbot was a bad move.
How are your animations so perfect damn I love every single one, for the most part the writting is very well done and amount of voice mixing is stunning
I'm sorry but the awesome splicing at 7:34 for the P2P Sniper had me replaying the scene over and over. It's so smooth and satisfying. Especially when coupled with the crisp animation of him whacking the other Sniper and breaking his goggles? Easily one of my fav scenes for a SFM.

The f2p sniper is so wholesome. In the last episode the tryhard was so mean to him. Yet, when the f2p saw his team-mate cry, he ran to comfort him :(
