    Thank you so much for sharing this incredible story. How sad that a gopuram was built even after it was known that Lord Ranganatha had made this promise :(

      It is said that rangnath came in dreams of Jeeyar and asked the gopuram to be completed. Maybe it's his Leela again✨
      Btw just like Ayodhya Ram Mandir with donations of devotees,stories of these donations are interesting as well

    Do you know, the same story is there for a temple in Gokarna Mahabaleshwara in Karnataka. the only difference here it is Bibhishana and there his elder brother Ravana himself. Here it is Lord Ranganatha and there Atmalinga of Lord Shiva.

    Exactly the same Story is also there for Gokarna in Karnataka .Except that Instead of Ranganatha Swami it is Lord Shiva & instead of Vibhishana , it is Ravana. Ganesha is again the Shepherd boy here and gets a dent on his head by the hit of Ravana.

      @@templesbooksandscience8697 It is the Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna also called the as the Dakshina Kasi and houses the AatmaLinga . I think it faces the Arabian Sea.

    Hare krsna mataji, how sure are you that Vibesena was gifted with the diety of Raganath about 2000 years ago when lord Rama incarnated More than 2 million years ago during the Tretha yuga. Please clarify.

    • @JaRaIndianz

      You are right. There is more to the story about Srirangam Ranganatha Swami temple from where Archana left.
      According to the legend after a period of time the shrine housing the Lord fell victim to the ravages of time and elements. Dense forests completely covered the island temple buried under the sands of river Cauvery and Kollidam.
      For millennia and yugas the shrine remained buried and forgotten. Until about 2500 years ago when a Chola king stumbled upon the buried treasure and built a small temple in the location where the temple stands today. The temple and the Lord in reclining posture indeed find mention in the circa 2nd century BC Tamil epic Silapadhikaram which vouch the antiquity of the temple.
      Over centuries the temple had been expanded by kings of Chola, Pandya, Pallava, Hoysala and Vijayanagara dynasties. Saint Ramanjacharya and a long lineage of revered acharyas made Srirangam their home and serving the Lord the only purpose of their life. The most recent addition to the temple was the completion of the unfinished 'mottai' gopuram at the southern main entrance into a grand 250 feet tall raja gopuram built by the Jeer of Ahobila Mutt in 1980s. Srirangam is no ordinary temple, it's a temple of monumental proportions by any measure. It's the epicentre of Vaishnavam in south India for centuries.

    Unfortunately the fact is almost all Samanar temple in tamil nadu are later converted into vaishnav's temple from Pallava's kingdom with mighty power of the Kshatriyan ruler. Kanchipuram is living example of Samanar temppes conquered and cinverted into Vaishnav's.
    If someone visit Samanar's temple they will know exactly how Vaishnav's god is resembling it.
    Samanar in tamil nadu is the oldest religion

    • @pavanscienti
      @pavanscienti 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Samanar idols are highly Digambara , which are highly nude so if a idol having more decorations then it's not samanar or any other
