  • In this video I will show you how to loom a full sized adult blanket and how to attach your 36 peg looming projects together. When you combine and attach the 36 peg looming projects together you will be able to make a large adult size blanket to any size you would like to make. This technique is fast, efficient, and easy. This combining looming project strategy does not require any knowledge of crocheting or knitting. You will just simply need to know how to tie a basic knot to effectively attach the projects together.

    If you can't crochet or knit it's much quicker and uses much less yarn to take a large eye needle with a good length of harn, feed it thru the same way you are doing now then when you reach the end of the yarn you weave thru enough then make a knot. Much sturdier and quite a bit less waste. I crochet and this is what is called "whipstitching" pieces together. I have horrible arthritis and have had to curb my crocheting. Thinking of trying loom knitting to see if that's any better on my hands. Thx for the video.

      You could also take a needle and thread the yarn in just like you finish the end of your project and go in between the pieces in the v's and go back and forth there instead of wasting so much yarn.

    • @chadgifford3568

      It depends on how often you work on the project but if you work at it everyday and consistently for hours at a time you could easily have one made in less than 1 month!

    There is a simple way to make a full size blanket on any loom size. I didn't know if you have tried it, but I prefer it rather than trying to sew or tie blocks together and it is completely invisible when you join them together, no one can tell where each block ends or begins. Watch this video here to see how to start a block after you have bind off the current row.

    • @chadgifford3568
      @chadgifford3568  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Daniel ! Cutting already loomed pieces is a bit dangerous because then all the yarn and strands start to unwind and fall apart, it could be difficult to get it stitched back together, it’s not impossible I assume, not recommended, but I’ve never done that before ! If you figure something like that out let me know! And happy looming !

    • @chadgifford3568

      I had thought the same thing, you would probably need to figure out how you could equally combine the looms together to make 1 large long loom in order for it work correctly, but it could be possible, or I had even thought you could make your own look somehow and make it as long as you want it and it would just naturally make 1 blanket at the same time!
