I would add that if you don't have the $$ to buy a generator like this one. Keep charcoal on hand. Buy a charcoal chimney, very cheep, and requires no lighter fluid. All you have to do with a chimney, is have some sort of paper around to start the charcoal from the bottom of the chimney that is filled with charcoal. Fill the chimney with charcoal, light the paper put it under the charcoal in the chimney and done. We have not used lighter fluid in about 20 years. All these meals can be cooked on an open fire, or grill. Just like camping. These are great ideas. Love it
I still need to look for that canned smoked ham. That's one meat I don't have in my prepper pantry. You could also add a an of evaporated milk to the ones that need it.
These are great emergency meals - I especially love that you have included protein for each meal! The generator is compact & able to save your food in an emergency situation, thanks Tamara for sharing! 🤗
Thank you!!! I've only been able to find one other channel that she made a few bags that she stored in an 18 gal storage tote and I loved ... LOVE THE IDEA ive been thinking so much of REAL FOOD... that actually tastes good. I know we are doing these for emergencies but dang we don't have to eat Vienna sausages & chips... U know. Thank u all ur content is so helpful
Always dry run! Make these without using any electricity 😅 to see what addnt items u might need such as manual can openers, powders, addnt pots for heating and how are you going to heat it. Candles, sternos, foil etc
Great meal ideas! I have some spaghetti and pizza kits made up. I include 2 16.9-ounce bottles of water to cook the spaghetti with. In the pizza kits with a packaged mix, I add 1 bottle of water. I can't find any shelf-stable mozzarella, so am looking into the freeze-dried.
We recently had storms in our area, our power was out for 2&1/2 days. We have a large fuel powered generator that kept us powered the entire time. It’s a good thing we weren’t relying on solar to power our generator because there was no sunlight to be had.
Love those meal ideas! Living in lower alabama losing electricity due to tornados, and hurricanes can be a pain in the tookus. We try to keep some food stuff on hand, definitely adding these.
Hello Tamara And Family . Thanks for sharing . Your meal plans preparation . Also thanks for sharing the power machine . These would come in handy . After a hurricane until you could get power back . God Bless You And Family .😊
My family is used to fresh/from scratch dinners ... so nobody's shelf stable meal kits are "what your family will eat" ... and few are diabetic friendly... Quite a puzzle. But these are easy...good job.
Hi Tamara. This was great! You have the best ideas! You did an excellent job with your “commercial “. I like that you actually cooked something with it. Thanks for sharing.🤗💕
You have inspired me so much ever since I found your channel a year or so ago. I still need to step my prepper game up😂 Thank your for all of your prepper/emergency meal videos! 💜💜💜
Can confirm. Do not stock things you don't eat all the time. I am currently watching/listening to videos of this sort and I came across yours. I am also clearing out my pantry of expired goods :(
Tamara, great video. Unfortunately todays average family struggles to buy groceries for the week, yet alone to buy extras. But I also think if anyone can afford a generator then they can afford the emergency bags !
Those solar powered generators are really nice to have for emergency situations. That’s one item we have yet to purchase, but would definitely like to have. I love your meal ideas to bag together! So handy, even in non emergency situations. 😊 The possibilities are endless of what you can group together- it can be ingredients for your favorite meals, and all you need to add is the cooked protein. Thanks so much for the information! ❤️-Brenda
For the meal kits calling for water and milk. Add in a can of evaporated milk or milk powder and put the amount of water bottles you need for the meal. Because yu may not have water available.
I've been trying to find a way to make food packs I can giveaway in an emergency to the oldies in the building..anonymously of course. Just need to figure out a menu and portion sizes for 7 days for 1 person...Oh and you don't have to only store died milk, just put in a tiny can of evap milk, use the leftover milk for coffees and teas..
Thank you so much. I was looking at that canned roast beef. Have you ever tasted it? I don’t have much experience with shelf stable meats other than tuna.
@SouthernWife EverydayLife I think she might be thinking the canned beef is too expensive. I think if you picked up a small can at each weekly store trip, it wouldn't be too expensive. It's all in the planning. I'm saying this as a person who only had 25 for the week to feed 5 people. It was the early 2000s, but gas prices were pretty high and I lived a good 45 minutes from the nearest grocery store. We didn't have Walmart or Aldi either. It can be done on even the tightest budget. I also saved all change in a sock so I could buy extra stuff at the end of the month. I have way more ideas that I can possibly share here. I hope this person can find a way to bag suppers. P.S. like Tamara said you make them to suit you and yours. If push comes to shove just use tuna or canned chicken. If it's for just a few days it's not going to hurt to not have beef. I truly hope you can figure out a way for you. Thanks for sharing Tamara.
I have one similar linked in my Amazon store front. We bought it from amazon, but they don’t carry the same model we have now. It’s linked under kitchen. ❤️
Nope! You can use a camping stove, open fire, a power station, generator like in this video. Any thing you can use to cook in an emergency situation where you don’t have power…
The bagged meal kits are nice, don't forget a can opener
These meal kits would be perfect to hand out to people in need as well.
THAT'S what I've been thinking for the old ladies in the building! Anonymously of course...
Remember that there is juice in those vegetable cans to use as part of your water

I do bagged meal kits as well. I keep one weeks worth for 2 people. I also keep a sterno heater so i can heat water. Its small and cheap.

Great video with wonderful ideas. We loose power several times a year so having these items on hand is idea.. thank you so much.

Hey hey friend. Such good ideas!
That chili Mac made me think of doing canned beef stew and Mac and cheese! We do that for supper sometimes!
This is a great idea!
Good idea for the meal kit😮

Great video but to expensive for me I'll just keeping prepping the way I have been doing

Hey heh girl ❤️
👍😊
I haven't seen an electric soup pot like that. Can you please tell me what brand that is? Thank you.
I have one similar linked in my Amazon store front. We bought it from amazon, but they don’t carry the same model we have now. It’s linked under kitchen. ❤️
Tamara, where can I get that type of dry kraft mac. and cheese?
Kraft is at most grocery stores
@@SouthernWifeEverydayLife I mean the cauliflower type you show in this video, i can't find it anywhere.
I can only find it at my salvage store, but I used to get it at Kroger when we lived close to a Kroger.
@@SouthernWifeEverydayLife We have Fry's here in Arizona that;s a Kroger store, so I will see if they have it. Thank you Tamara!
Hope you can find them!
vegan options?
👍😊❣️
😷💚
These all require cooking, though.
They do.
♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️
I am confused. The title says, no power?. Some form of power is required to boil water.
Nope! You can use a camping stove, open fire, a power station, generator like in this video. Any thing you can use to cook in an emergency situation where you don’t have power…
Wait a minute...what is that electric looking pot?
It’s an electric pot. We got it off amazon
Do you ever go to food pantries?
No I don’t.
It says no power no problem you still need to cook????
There are many ways to cook with no electricity. It’s always important to have those options in your home to cook in an emergency.
🥰☺🙄💖
