Bringing the detectives back repeatedly throughout the trial to explain the evidence in context of the crime is something I've not seen a lot and I really like it as a prosecution style. This was really well done and told the story really well
I'm convinced Bart knew EXACTLY what was going on with his "job" as well as the college lies. Reading the email communication between two, he is trying to give Chandler every opportunity to "come clean". Like I would do if this was my child, Bart didn't openly confront him on it, but put pressure on him to finally tell the truth. The meeting at the college was a way to finally force Chandler to say the truth.
I disagree - at least on the school part. When he was talking on the phone to the college employee you could tell he seemed frustrated with them like they didn’t know what they were doing, until he started asking more questions and then you can actually hear in his voice the disappointment as he realizes Chandler was lying.
I grew up in Saul Prairie. My childhood home was on the river. Literally kitty corner from where Krista's remains were found. I moved away years ago, The next time will be a little eerie and sad when I look across the river. Things like this just don't happen in that area. When cases like these happen literally in your back yard. It just makes them a little more heart-wrenching.
I just realized that the date Bart talked to Omar was the date “Chaz” told Cat he thought his parents were “going to the cabin” that weekend. 😮He decided that day to kill them. Premeditated for certain. ❤A note to anyone with big troubles, it always gets better. Speak to someone because you can get help before doing anything drastic to yourself or to others.❤
Awful that Chandler went to trial in this horrific case, when he could simply have pleaded guilty to it all. He caused further pain to those that loved his parents and the financial cost must have been immense. I know that everyone has the right to a trial even if they plead guilty, but in this case, the evidence was on another level.
I’ve watched this trial for the first time with all the grizzlies. This case is disturbing, and so very sad! I am so impressed with the overwhelming evidence in this case! This is a trial, from opening statements, through all the evidence presented, and timelines, that ALL prosecutors should watch! So very organized, and quiet frankly the best I’ve ever seen!! Thank you for all the de-fluffing .
Right. I can't even imagine how exhausting it had to be!! I don't even have the energy to keep up with little lies, much less the BS this guy was feeding everyone 😔
It is really painful to listen to all of these emails back and forth between Chandler and his own self. It’s also sad to know that Bart thought he was speaking to real people. What a way to take away Barts dignity even more. He just wanted to help his son. That’s all both of his parents ever wanted.
I have been enjoying the coverage of this trial. Thank you so much for the edit and the commentary! I have connected with the parents as I am in my 50s and I am a CPA who specializes in Tax and I have a son who took a few extra college years to find his way in life. I am stunned at the how and why of it all. What, if anything, could the parents have done sooner? Maybe nothing. Everyone seems so normal. Who would ever have suspected something this awful could have happened. Clearly Bart knew something was off. Why did the parents not call him on his lies sooner? Were they choosing to ignor it or were they distracted. I noticed an inconsistancy with Bart's email signatures. I see where he signs as a Senior Tax Manager and then he later signs as the "Managing Director, Tax". Probably a major promotion to a very demanding new position within the firm. So many things going on in this family. The COVID era plus a major promotion, plus a major home renovation, and then a major health crisis for their older son. It was all just too much. Meanwhile, their younger son lies and lies and digs a hole so deep he finds there is no way out. It's so sad because I think his parents would have helped him vs disowned him. But the lies went so deep with everyone around him. His family and his friends. He was drowning and he took everyone down with him. My heart goes out to Mitchell. He has lost everything.
Bruce Rivers always says don’t turn something small into something huge … how this guy went from chronic lies to a double murder is insane!!! Asking for soda after killing his dad is straight up diabolical.
Exactly if he put that amount of effort in finding a real job he probably would be fully employed like Mitch and be able to support himself, make his parents happy and not have to ask Kat for a measley $5 for soda and chips🤣🤣. What a lazy louse the worst kind and well he’s in jail right now so he’ll never have to work for the rest of his life.Maybe just working for his “ husband” in jail 🤣🤣
And to think his last message to his mom was to get him some pop (soda) because he had "an extra hour of work." Was that "work" doing the deed to her when she got home?! 😨
School advisors do not have Gmail addresses, do they? Unbelievable the amount of lies this guy went through. Excellent coverage Gisela! RIP Bart & Krista.
I’m no expert but think this kind of lying doesn’t just start out of the blue. I’m thinking his parents had to deal with his habitual lying and he got more elaborate over the years.
The digital evidence was very interesting in the case and damning for Chandler! There is no doubt that Chandler is guilty! The evidence is so overwhelming! Thanks, G!
I supported my daughter when she started college and it is a fact that PROOF is necessary showing she was a FULL TIME student to keep insurance on her...not surprising Bart was on this!! It seems to me that Bart & Krista were both supportive, loving parents of a horrific demon child. Chandler does not deserve to live in my humbled opinion....this is just reprehensible. Love your work Gisela K....
These exposed lies may only be merely the tip of an iceberg. Imagine him speaking with waitresses, sales clerks, bank employees, ups, former College Administrators and teachers and other students, neighbors, shoppers, people in line, and if his pants were on fire--fire fighters.
Great work as usual G - I've really been enjoying following this trial with you and the Grizzlies. 😊All of the cases you highlight are extraordinary, but there's something especially incomprehensible to me about the people who dismember others (that word feels too polite!), particularly people they know. I really want to know how they manage to do it intellectually and emotionally. It must be a big job, and Chandler did it twice in one day, to people that had supported him his whole life. Was he in a rage, or indifferent? I suspect the latter, but it also feels like it would have been "too much work" for him to do, given how he disliked applying himself to anything. Also the appalling Joseph F recently - how did he do that in that bus? And both of these 'men' were out socialising throughout the time they were doing these acts, and disposing of the bodies. How is that possible? It's the total "hands on" aspect that's mystifying to me - I can see how the Adelson family could distance themselves emotionally, by paying someone else to do the crime... But I'm busy apologising to and thanking the chickens I cut up for my dog's dinners, so I'm not one for slicing up creatures... 😕 I'm not sure I'll ever understand.
It’s all crazy, but one of the craziest parts is Andrew offering Chandler a job, a WAY OUT from all the lies, and Chandler turned it down. Tells me Chaz was enjoying it.
Re: the dogs...Mitchell seems to be a kind and straight up guy; I feel he would have taken great care in re-homing them (if he was unable to keep them)...for his parents wishes. Gosh! This is such a sad sad case.
This was a great idea, G! Love the format. As a professor, I often ask students who are failing my class, “when your parents ask how you are doing in college, what do you tell them?” When they respond with “good,” it is going to make me pause and consider what other things they are lying about. Due to FERPA laws in the US, we can’t communicate with parents about university work without explicit permission by the student.
I love watching old trials like this. I watched clips here and there but it’s so nice to go back and watch it all. Thanks for all the hard work you do for us.
Thank you for your high quality work. Been following since Petito case! This is really a sick young man living in a fantasy world, probably for a long time.😰

His ass thought he could get away with all of this - you can run but you can’t hide chazzle dazzle 🤓 I wish they could’ve found more of Krista. Not for lack of effort though. RIP Bart & Krista ❤
Yes, it was. But I was interested in how relatively calm Bart was, because I think I would have been much more forceful with the College staff on the phone. Perhaps he wasn't because he had been suspecting his son was lying about things - but I get quickly annoyed if I think I'm being lied to, or a bureaucracy seems inept. If I thought my child was had dropped out, I would probably ask if that's what it looked like had happened. Surely his parents must have thought there was something not quite right about him... His communication skills were atrocious, they must have known no decent company would employ someone who could barely string a sentence together or look people in the eye.
Having worked at a college, I don’t understand the alleged difficulty in getting a transcript. Odd that his dad didn't call directly, sooner, by getting the number from a different source. Typically, it's clerical staff who handle sending out transcripts. Also, employees have business email addresses - usually have something like "edu" on the end. I see that was addressed. Having something like transcripts drag out for a year would never happen. Also, I've never heard of a college looking up students by name. They have SSNs, and are typically issued ID numbers, after they apply for admission.
I think his dad was assuming/hoping that his adult son would handle it, by the time he decided to actively get involved there was a whole web of lies to confuse the issue.
Know I’m late- but if he was smart he could’ve found someone good at photoshop on Reddit to create transcripts for him ha!! And again your remarks are so funny, I’ve laughed so many times. “Chazzy boy”
How embarrassing!!😂😂 I can’t believe he chose to go to trial and have all his lies shown to the world. He didn’t even have a defense. Only a true narcissist would refuse a plea deal and go to trial. Same as Sarah Boone.. 😂😂😂
I think his whole game is getting ‘just one more day’ … more days to lie and deceive and plot. I think he really thought he could always stay 1 more day ahead of being discovered.
It’s their job and could arguably lead to reasonable doubt conversations in the jury room. Not saying it would be successful (obviously not since he’s been convicted) but it’s zealous advocacy for their client.
I even cancelled my plans just so I could watch this trial. I am very happy in my PJs all day watching with my fellow grizzlys. I am completely obsessed
I am in awe at the level of skill and professionalism by all those people involved in this case. The witnesses have been exceptional. This is the best trial I have ever watched, and I have seen a lot!
These prosecutors are the best I've ever seen by far. For them to have done all of this research within 6 months is truly impressive! Kudos to them!!!!🎉 👏🏼 🙌🏼 Now the defense on the other hand.......don't even get me started on them! 😒 😮 😂
I did!!! I have been looking for comments to chat with about it! It is like when someone tries to change their natural movements in order to fool someone of higher authority! It confuses me so, because he's documented as right-handed- yet he switches it up in a way that criminal forgers would! Oh my word! I hexx and rebuke the Kurczewski flu, at this time!
Anyone else notice that both the Judge and Chandler signing off on his fake e-mail accounts use the phrase “have a nice rest of your day”. Is this a common Wisconsin nicety - does anybody know?
The irony of all this effort made on his own behalf , towarrd the "appearance" of an upstanding life. If he was pure of heart , he would have had a fair bit of IT knowledge and admin skills to offer. Mystified by how patholigical liars are created/formed during their early years. Tragic for his family, and all involved!
I’m laughing so hard. I work in high tech. Proton mail. Gmail. Recourses manager. Getting paid weekly? Not with these big companies. It’s usual the first and last day or every other day. They are restructuring the entire HR department because of this. Omg. Drama. He should have insurance through them too. Board meetings for approval. All of this. He could just work and it’s be easier and less stressful. People are weird. I just don’t understand how it goes from all this lying the unaliving your parents. There’s no other option between the two? Also, I don’t want to give any spoilers … but have you heard about what happened to the verdict since? Are going to talk about it here? I hope so!
Did I see that some of his charges were recently dropped (not sure how to phrase it) Im not sure if I saw that right bc I didn't have time to look into it but I physically felt it like a hit when I thought I read it
He was wearing a neck brace that he didn't need and even claiming he would need a colonstomy bag....I think the question is, what is right with this dude?
Chandler even SPOKE to his dad on the phone pretending to be someone at the school. That’s insane. Imagine dad had called the phone and it rang from Chandler’s pocket 🤦🏼♀️😳
It would really be interesting to see these defense attys in a different case.🤔 How would they defend their client in a case where the evidence isn’t as concrete as this??
His parents had to have known he was a pathological liar. He likely always was. They just vastly underestimated the insane lengths he'd go to, to conceal his lies.
That pic of Krista with almost matching top to the lady sitting next to "the evil son".... it looks like his mom is sitting right next to him , when court camera pans to his defence table. Creepy a bit. e.g @ 23:22

Wow... the defense attorney did nothing. It really shows how much proof they had. I have never seen such a quiet defense. Says a lot.
Thankyou Gisela for your coverage and attention to detail.
Exciting day 8 wow 👌 😊
I wish this prosecutor was my trial advocacy coach! Top notch! He better be a bureau chief if not supervisor…❤
Know I’m late- but if he was smart he could’ve found someone good at photoshop on Reddit to create transcripts for him ha!! And again your remarks are so funny, I’ve laughed so many times. “Chazzy boy”
Always love the digital evidence especially the google searches
He couldn't even spell...fortunately in prison "he can schedual" more conversations with himself lol
Thank you, Gisela!🐻💕
How embarrassing!!😂😂 I can’t believe he chose to go to trial and have all his lies shown to the world. He didn’t even have a defense. Only a true narcissist would refuse a plea deal and go to trial. Same as Sarah Boone.. 😂😂😂
I think his whole game is getting ‘just one more day’ … more days to lie and deceive and plot. I think he really thought he could always stay 1 more day ahead of being discovered.
yeah, to just sit there, while everyone you know is against you ans knows what you did. How can he stand being him!?
Replay here! I really hate missing the live stream, but had to teach today! Thank you G! ❤❤
Hello sweet Miss Anita. Don't feel alone. I came in during the last hour of the live. So I'm here in the replay crew with you.
@@shawnawilliams6536 Aww! Thanks Shawna! ❤❤

She loved her son so much it’s heartbreaking 💔
Great work G❤
Why does the defense atty bother asking infrequent, pointless questions?
Make it look like he's trying. He has nothing too much evidence but he has to try
It’s their job and could arguably lead to reasonable doubt conversations in the jury room. Not saying it would be successful (obviously not since he’s been convicted) but it’s zealous advocacy for their client.
I love your map time intro❤❤
I even cancelled my plans just so I could watch this trial. I am very happy in my PJs all day watching with my fellow grizzlys. I am completely obsessed
How can he sit there and not just admit to be guilty. It’s crazy!
Chandler kept jaw-jacking, instead of telling the truth. Should have just gotten a DAMN JOB!
Then he'd have to admit failure and admit to the lies if he did!
Krista and Bart have beautiful smiles
I just realized- was the defense lawyer being snarky…. Asking how often someone’s passcode is 1111. Was she telling them that was Chandlers passcode
I really wish they would have had the camera on CH and the defense table more.
Best video trial Jodi Arias. Panned to her a lot
Kudos to them!!!!🎉 👏🏼 🙌🏼
Now the defense on the other hand.......don't even get me started on them! 😒 😮 😂
Has anyone else noticed the weird way Chandler holds the pen and writes? Strange
@@KelliDoubleU if you could see his pad it's like ..."All work and no play makes Chandler a dull boy....."
It was like he was obsessed with the aftermath of his disgusting actions.
The emails from all these College Advisors have incorrect grammar, spelling, and punctuation...
......duh!
I think chandler was actually getting frustrated with himself during his fake exchanges with the college.
I love when you use Saffa word like “kak” 😅😅😅
I hope so!
We're watching the verdict on Day nine (today). What happened? I know his appeals defense attorney said there were no grounds for appeal.
Did I see that some of his charges were recently dropped (not sure how to phrase it) Im not sure if I saw that right bc I didn't have time to look into it but I physically felt it like a hit when I thought I read it
omg ive been up all night for 2 nights binging this 😂😮 im so tired but must finish...lol
I sure wouldn't want to be his defense attorney!!!
He can't even hold an ink pen and write properly, what is wrong with this dude 😩🤦♀️
He was wearing a neck brace that he didn't need and even claiming he would need a colonstomy bag....I think the question is, what is right with this dude?
What a cold sob…his poor mother loved him so much
The MITC call is so sad because I have to wonder at what point during that call did Bart have a realization Chandler might be lying about all of it.
If the talk with the college was on June 29th, maybe that is why CH said he was grounded in early July.
Chandler even SPOKE to his dad on the phone pretending to be someone at the school. That’s insane. Imagine dad had called the phone and it rang from Chandler’s pocket 🤦🏼♀️😳
Wow..what a doddle this case was for the Defense. She could have been replaced by a recording with just a few phrases.😅

You are looking great !!
Incredible.
