This video has been refreshing. This logic is so well structured and stated. The absence of basic logic on facebook, twitter, and the other news coverage of this speculation tax is painful. This man should move to a country that will appreciate and understand his suggestions.
I and my wife moved to Vancouver 3 years ago and have applied for PR. We bought a condo to live in that we could afford at the time (value has gone up)... Now we don’t have an exemption to this tax. Are we speculators? this tax puts us in a really tough spot until we get PR accepted.
If the previous liberal government didn’t look the other way to stop money laundering criminals we wouldn’t be in this position right now. I think the NDP government is doing a great job
Why do owners of ALR property need to complete a speculation form? NDP government definitely did not thoroughly reviewed this before implementing this tax, they fast tracked it carelessly. I don't think this government knows what they are doing 👎
