Such dedication and so much precision in their lifts. Even when I make a good snatch with good explosion, I feel like they would do three reps in the same amount of time. Crazy.
always find it amazing to see chinese weightlifters. there bodies arent that big but damn they're strong.. maybe weightlifting is a lot of mental power if you truly believe in yourself i bet you can do a lot more then you expect hehe..
Thats true, and as we can see all over the world the Chinese always to their best with what they have. Anyway, thanks for the conversation, take care of yourself and keep caring.
You are right of course and I have a great respect for the lifters, but not the system. China is now one of the richest if not top of the list countries in the world and yet there are so many still on the poverty line. Lets hope success in the world economy will filter down to the masses sooner rather than later.
These lifters mostly came from poor families. Sport is a way to get a decent living. They get to have food, shelter, and even education. Beats being stuck as a poor peasant any day. They are not really taken but it's one of a few options available. Like the olympic champion Zhan XuGang said in an interview, the sport school coach told him he would not be starving anymore if he go to the school and he said "I'm down, take me with you."
They lift multiple times a day and they were selected for their mesomorphic tendencies at an early age so of course they are ripped. Imagine if all you had done between the age of 10 and 18 was lift 6 times a week.....pretty boring existence.
you would not like to exchange your training or way of life for these guys not matter how successful they are. They are taken from their families, moved to wherever the government wants them to train. Only a few finish up with a standard of living equal to the west. Most people who train in the west train as amateurs, as you can see, not in china. Two or three times a day, every day, eat, sleep and shit, training. Most of them know nothing else, would you swop??????
Mmmmm, I wouldn't totally agree with that. You can't really generalize an entire nation either way, but there is a lot of arrogance and so on, but of course not all of them.

bodybuilding concepts can be incorporated in olympic lifting when needed
Apparently, they do use it occasionally for high repetition works. Usually just a single set.
I love the chinese techniques on cleans! Man i need a chinese coach!!

The Rocky montage at the end was awesome!!
The Bulgarians use a very limited number of exercises, maybe 5 at the most, performed at very high intensities.
I always find it weird to see Mao Ze Dong coaching the chinese national team
amazing, wish i could train there

i like the attitude of the chinese people....totally not arrogant and friendly, even with such as high level strong athletes
we have one in our gym aswell, never seen anyone use it:P

The song the women sings at 1:03 is hypnotic.
Woah, thanks so much!!! This is aaaawesome!!!
Woah, at 3.07, is that a hack squat machine in an olympic weightlifting gym?!
Check out the hip flexibility at 4:22. THAT'S how to front squat.

@Sarge343 They probably just use it as a towel rack. That's what I use the hack squat machine at my gym for.
pretty fucking EPIC existence
NICE !
@jeiison Yes they do. lifthard dot com has details about their training, from a dude who went and trained with them.
The bulgarians focus on doing just the classic lifts during training and they go heavy. They'll do squats other than that but that's about it.
ponganlo en español please
Looks like it, maybe they use it from time or time or something
inspirational
WHAT DID THEY SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They seem to do just about every exercise known to man for all round development, complete opposite of the bulgarians
that wd be good!
yea
are they training in a airline hanger! look at the size of that gym! Jealous.
different muscle fibers.
I think a Snatch high Pull with too much weight on it and a rounded back! No wonder they all have back pain!
who said the chinese aren't big
