This knife is my favorite and gets the most pocket time out of them all. Got it "used" with blue anodized handle scales and the knife looks amazing. It's also the smoothest knife I've ever had it can close with just the weight of the blade.
That's a very nicely priced knife for what you get. I try to limit my knife purchases to two a month though, so I will order this in a week or so. This review finally convinced me to order it.
The price kept me away for a long time, but I had $100 spare cash left over from a side-job I done and $100 Christmas money and I said what the heck, it’s time! I have zero regrets bought a 0450.
Nice Review , thanks . I bought this knife from Going Gear 2 months ago. I really like and agree with your review. I can think of a few things that would make it better, but it is a Tank. Bob
Kershaw, the mother company of ZT, makes the Launch 1 and it is essentially a $100 cheaper version of this specific knife. Only downside is that it is an auto knife and auto knives are illegal in some states where as the ZT would be perfectly legal. But is definitely an option to consider if you don agree with the high price point to the ZT.
Oh man, that's a beautiful knife. I'll stick with Kershaw's SpeedSafe flippers though; they fit my budget and look just as good as this ZT. Btw, your outtakes at the end always make me laugh.
Yeah I see a lot of similarities to the link and they now have a new link that is in 20cv I almost bought that guy but I needed to have the zt version and it was on sale on Kershaw guy site so I made my self sleep on it and woke up at 5am and purchased it.
I love my ZT 0456, it has a striking resemblance to the one in this review. The characteristics are almost the same, just more exaggerated lines on the 0456.
Sky Walker I don’t know about the other guy, but I’ve had one of these since they came out and I’ve only had to sharpen it once. It’s incredible, never thought I’d switch out my PM2, but this ZT changed my mind.
The shape is really about all that is the same if you’re talking about the knife I’m thinking of the “Link”. This knife is a frame-lock vs. liner lock, and it has superior materials like titanium handles vs. aluminum scales, and an S35VN high-grade steel blade vs. 420 budget stainless. Also this knife has KVT ball-bearings that allow the blade to swing out easily and lock with the push of your finger so it’s just as easy as Speedsafe, and there’s no torsion bar to break like the one in my “Leek” did. All that being said I’m not knocking the American-made Kershaws, I’ve been an owner and fan for a long time, and I’ve heard that Kershaws (KAI’s) warranty’s are really good with good customer service. I’m just trying to (kind of) justify the cost of these expensive knives.
I have to agree. While I watched this video I was looking at my EDC knife which I've been carrying for over 2 years now. I love it, and it's almost identical to this knife. But it's a Maxam, not an expensive knife. I think I paid about $25 for it brand new, but in looking for it online now, I don't see it. And it's been a great knife, something I use literally every day. I'm sure this Zero Tolerance is a much nicer knife, but it's way above my pay grade. :)
Rori Rants A great option for the 100.00 range would be the Spiderco Manix 2. It has S30V steel, ball bearing lock and many grip options to choose from. Been carrying mine for about a year and have nothing bad to say about it. Great knife
TheGun Enthusiast Kershaw and ZT have same owner so it's basically the same. F.ex. Kershaw link from HOB exclusives with same steel as this 0095bw i pretty much the same ;) But two times cheaper tho
Of course this is completely opinion based, so it means nothing, but it's heavy, does not deep conceal and is rather large. Now I must use this disclaimer, I am known to carry this knife from time to time, when I'm feeling like I want a larger blade. Just like when I feel like carrying my Mcusta Katana. Which is mostly for the cool factor that I feel on a personal level, if that makes any sense...
ediot6969 it's all about personal preference when it comes down to it. Because I have the kershaw launch 1 which is basically the $100 dollar cheaper version of this ZT, and I carried that around for over six months and loved it and used it everyday.
$30 knives from reputable sellers are great because you can abuse the shit out of them, and if your knife becomes too broken or unusable, you can replace it without breaking the bank.

That's my favorite ZT that I own.

I'm a fan from FRANCE !!!!!👍🏻💪
I have this one, love it. The new ones have ridges built into part of the handle on both sides for better grip.
Don, psssst... That's a Frame lock. Beautiful knife. I love the ZT's. Just out of my price range.
The price kept me away for a long time, but I had $100 spare cash left over from a side-job I done and $100 Christmas money and I said what the heck, it’s time! I have zero regrets bought a 0450.
I have been looking for a larger EDC knife, and you just sold me on this Knife, it's going to be awhile to save up for it, but thanks for the help.
Is that you sootch? New channel brother?
Nice Review , thanks . I bought this knife from Going Gear 2 months ago. I really like and agree with your review. I can think of a few things that would make it better, but it is a Tank. Bob
I should get this now since it is discontinued. I love Blackwash finish.

I bought one and I love it.
Nice review Dawn
i feel that a bit of krylon tan spray on the handle and wear down the edges, and it would look great
Nicely done review Don. It is an impressive folder.

Thanks mate for this nice review. ZTs are awesome!
Wonderful knife. I've just ordered one. Can't wait :)
Nice review too.
Rafal Gladkowski how you like it so far?
Sky Walker I don’t know about the other guy, but I’ve had one of these since they came out and I’ve only had to sharpen it once. It’s incredible, never thought I’d switch out my PM2, but this ZT changed my mind.
I want this knife for christmas !
Kershaw 1776 1/8 the price all of the knife lighter plus assisted,
TY ACORD do you know if they make a non-assisted version of that? Commiefornia really seems to hate assisted knives lol
And it's only going to last 1/8 as long
merp durp assisted knives are perfectly legal in California

You should really check out the condor Hudson Bay knife, it's a great bushcraft chopper / companion knife.
I just bought this knife and found it @ 165.00. Love it
*Beautiful knife!* 👏👏👏
nice review, ZT's are the best.
Looks like the Kershaw link a lot. Nice. I like it .good belly to.
.
Frame lock- not a liner lock
yessir
Beat me to it. Haha
Great review!
Hey please do a safety pin survival uses please
State of the art knife....never thought there could be such a thing.
Love a good KRV. Great blades!
0452 or 0095 Blk if I only have one choice? Any thoughts?

0550(2nd gen and later) and 0560 deep carry clips should fit this.
Didnt put this up on Full30 first?

Cold steel
Easily cold steel
Gotta get that smooth action...

Daniel Lees I’ll get one and send it to ya
Beautiful knife, but at $200.00+, I have to pass! Great review though sir.

Please make an edc video
Oregon must be the knife making capitol of the world. crkt and benchmade are from there too!
And Gerber
chuck oaks leatherman too
Наконец то - нормальный обзор.
since when was ZT sensible money-wise
Nice knife
Nice knife but too much money for me.
Ideas for something similar under $100? Because oof--spendy! TIA.

Oh, thank you so much!!
Can anybody recommend someone to send a knife to have professionally sharpened?
i want a ZT knife so bad!!!
Only 1 step above Kershaw?? Um I'm sorry! But I have to disagree with you on that! ZT knives go like 3 steps about Kershaw in my opinion.
TheGun Enthusiast Kershaw and ZT have same owner so it's basically the same. F.ex. Kershaw link from HOB exclusives with same steel as this 0095bw i pretty much the same ;) But two times cheaper tho
Calvin Harris aluminum frame vs titanium frame
It’s a framelock , it has no liners
I love mine, but it's a horrible EDC option...
Why is that? It beats the Para2 in my book which is often considered king of edc.
Of course this is completely opinion based, so it means nothing, but it's heavy, does not deep conceal and is rather large.

It’s actually a frame lock not a liner lock.

Kershaw Launch 1 knock-off.
Iowarail same company so....
