thank you so much. this video helped me to finally after years repair a set of Korean beads made from wood that got struck by lightning, that was always dear to me. the knot string got untangled and only now I looked it up on youtube. Voila - after a few attempts I got it and the set of beads is as good as new!

Tip: I use clear super glue to fuse it because the lighter makes dark burn marks.

No, shouldn’t really be loosening while wearing it, only while pulling on it. Next time you make the square knot, make sure to pull it down really tight in between each stitch. It’s better to be too tight than too loose as it will loosen over time anyway. Hope this helps 💫
