i remember when universal mall was cool to go to we go there every Saturday to see movies or Fridays but now its a dump sorry for saying that but it is now. I miss this mall
an i think location and the construction of 2 major roads helped killed universal Mall. Once I-696 and M-59 opened up, Universal Mall slowly died. and having Oakland Mall and Macomb Mall nearby (with better anchors) didn't help the mall. From I-696, you have to go over a mile and a half to reach Universal, and nearly 2 miles from I-75. if you are not from Detroit, you tend to stay to the major roads (i-94, I-96, I-75, M-1, M-3, M-10, US-12, etc)
Haha sweet. Remember Gells sporting goods? I bought some guns there when they were closing. Back in the day that was a cool mall. "Renault beats Toyota, ford etc." Pffft.LOL.
Wish there was more footage of universal in it's prime. Different stores they had and stuff would be dope to c cuz I can barely remember anymore!!
Still an amazing show so many years later, thanks for uploading!
Was hoping to see some Sea Rays there. I just got rid of my 1987. Still in great shape. I loved that boat, but it was time to get a pontoon.
Man it’s weird this mall is a shopping center. I can remember riding my bike here. Back in the summer time.
Hell yeah! I immediately knew right where that was inside the mall lol
Can't believe it's been almost ten years since this was uploaded!
I used to work at Gell's Sporting Goods - great store.
Ahh! Should have waited till the end. Scary giant bunny! Eeek! --Mel :)
