My favourite RHCP song. Gives me chills every time. "Scar Tissue" is the first single from RHCP's seventh album, Californication (1999); it spent a record 16 consecutive weeks at the top of the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart as well as 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. On the Hot 100 the song peaked at #9. In 2000 "Scar Tissue" won a Grammy for Best Rock Song.
❤❤ r.i.p. Tammy Ann... this was your song and I watched it take you to a different place a million times. Discovering we could harmonize the whole thing was and always will be a piece of my heart.
“Shhhhhut the fuck up!!” 🙌🙌🤘🤘 ABSOLUTELY!! We allll feel that! Don’t judge a book by its cover…ya just can’t see that ✨SCAR TISSUE✨ beautiful reaction ✌️
This came out when I was a teen, and I was obsessed. We had to evacuate due to a hurricane. Adults drove trucks carrying our important stuff. I drove the minivan with the kids in our family. Played this song on repeat, 16 hours. Just to annoy my little brother and cousins. 😂
I always took it that way, that he's doing drugs in a bathroom stall which will tear families apart, but of course I may be wrong. I think the scar tissue has the dual meaning of the scar tissue from the needles which started from emotional scar tissue - if that makes sense?
My dad used to play this everyday while he worked on cars lol. Great song. One of my favorites by them. Great video as always man! Oh and when you can could you do Pixies- Where is my Mind?
Name one chilli pepper song that DOESN'T have a bad ass hook or a cool groove. Most of their songs have both. Listening to them will take you to a better place everytime.
Growing up I had no idea he was saying "with birds I share this lonely view"
Well you just taught me and I'm 30. Heard this song a million times too.

I'm curious as to what you thought it was lol
@@jasminebella4029 I'm not sure lol but it always sounded like "whisper sharing a lonely view"

I never really understood this song BUT YOUR FIRST TIME, YOU GOT IT!!! THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU ❤
You are good at reactions. Smarter than others! And still spontaneus. Good work!
He is a damn savant at deciphering these songs. He sure doesn't look like a deep thinker. Viva la sceez. Gotta love him.
Hard to beat those lonely view guitar riffs. Gotta love it.
Love this 💗 more chili peppers please!
Breaking the Girl is another great Chili Peppers song, and Dani California is really fun, the song and the video.
