QBs touch the football each play.....but they hand it off 40% of the time and disappear from the play. Another 20% are probably thrown at or 5 yards from scrimmage. Touching it every play doesn't mean much.

Andrew was the #1 to truly one of the worst talented rosters that was gutted after manning left and many veterans were cut to save cap space. I don't know if you can call one player the best player in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes is the most accomplished quarterback, currently playing, in the NFL heading up a team that has magnificent coaching. Mahomes is laser-focused and strives for team greatness in a way that must be done if you want to win multiple Super Bowls. I don't know if Tyreek is team-focused in the same way. He wants to be the star of the show which is one of the reasons he is no longer in KC. I don't like that Tyreek doesn't give credit to others (Patrick Mahomes is one of those people) for helping him become the Tyreek Hill we know today. Best player is Myles Garrett he took his team to the play offs with five different quarter backs, no Chubb, no starting OTs or safety's, Bitonio and Ward in and out of the line up, Awok, Hurst, Obo, Cooper, Moore, Newsome all these injuries to significant players and Myles still took them to the play offs!
Matt Berry is correct. There should be 0 pressure on a rookie qb to perform at a high level. Peyton Manning threw 28 ints his rookie season and became one of the best to ever play the position. Rg111 had a great rookie year and struggled after that. So it's really a crap shoot and these qbs should be given time to develop
The reason there is pressure is too rookie qb is they coming in with big contracts. More money more pressure. If you want to be a late pick then there will be no pressure but if teams are paying you a lot of money off the bat, they will expect you to come in and make instant difference

QBs touch the football each play.....but they hand it off 40% of the time and disappear from the play. Another 20% are probably thrown at or 5 yards from scrimmage. Touching it every play doesn't mean much.

I don't know if you can call one player the best player in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes is the most accomplished quarterback, currently playing, in the NFL heading up a team that has magnificent coaching. Mahomes is laser-focused and strives for team greatness in a way that must be done if you want to win multiple Super Bowls. I don't know if Tyreek is team-focused in the same way. He wants to be the star of the show which is one of the reasons he is no longer in KC. I don't like that Tyreek doesn't give credit to others (Patrick Mahomes is one of those people) for helping him become the Tyreek Hill we know today. He is an amazing player and an incredible weapon but he isn't very gracious.

Matt Berry is correct. There should be 0 pressure on a rookie qb to perform at a high level. Peyton Manning threw 28 ints his rookie season and became one of the best to ever play the position. Rg111 had a great rookie year and struggled after that. So it's really a crap shoot and these qbs should be given time to develop
