- Here is a very cool 1959 Cadillac Hearse I saw recently. What a cool car! I would love to own this. Reminds me of my all time favourite movie - Harold and Maude. What do you think of it? Could you own it? Have you seen the movie Harold and Maude? Please 👍Like👍 and Subscribe. Thanks for watching. 👍

Here is one of the coolest cars I have seen in ages. A 1959 Cadillac hearse. I love it! Reminds me of the movie Harold and Maude. What do you think? Have you seen Harold and Maude? Please give this classic hearse a 👍Like👍 and please Subscribe. 👍😀

"Don't let your first ride in a Cadillac be your last..."
@@marko7843 Yes, 😀👍
To quote Charles Phoenix " A mid century modern masterpiece "
Yes. I agree with Charles! 👍
Yeah awesome movie with the Cat Stevens soundtrack 👍
Yes, great movie and great soundtrack. 👍
Very cool, Mark. Hearses are always cool and intriguing. Cars with literally a million stories. Being into guitars, knew this guy in Sydney years back who bought an LTD hearse to transport around a pair of vintage Plexi-faced Marshall full stacks to a forum's annual amp day. You knew it was a funeral for the ears with the sheer volume!
Very cool. I have always liked hearses, if they were well done. 👍
Good times walker st north Sydney watching movies. I would love the jag . Yes great movie.
Yes, I think you were the one that first told me about that movie and every time it was on at Walker St we would go and see it. That seems like an age ago (it was). Yes, the Jag is so cool. 👍
A big fat YES
😀👍
I always liked the 1959 to early 1960's Miller Meteor's, especially the Ambulance/ Hearse combo cars
Yes, me too. A big fan. What a way to travel. 👍
Hi Mark, what a cool car, I have seen the film Harold and Maude. I think this is the similar car that from Ghost busters, Ecto-1( 1984 & 1989 ) what a classic hearse, Take care
Thanks Shaun. Great movie Harold and Maude and yes, same as Ecto 1 which was the ambulance version. 👍
Ya' know, the first car I remember growing up in was a yellow '59 Cadillac Finmobile sedan... Ironically, I don't remember the tail fins, I just remember that Dad could take the key out of the ignition while the engine was running... Then, we had a suicide door Lincoln, and driving to Tahoe I was always warned to keep away from those beautiful but easily-opened door latches (before the 1968 legislation) and every once in awhile I could see him reach out and push down the power door lock lever in the middle of the dashboard. 🙂
@@marko7843 Cool memories hey? 😀👍
I remember Harold and Maude. I watched that movie several times. I recall the cars in the film. There was a Buick Riviera and a Chevrolet El Camino as well. I recall the many songs by Cat Stevens( Yousef). The things he did to his mother in that film. Ruth Gordon was funny as Maude too.
Yes, a great movie. I remember the Riviera - a 1969 I think and the El Camino. I think she also took a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang too. 👍
@@markbehr88 He destroyed that Jaguar as well. The movie had a great soundtrack as well. Bud Cort( Harold) is still alive and thriving too: th-cam.com/video/LuY9zJcavuM/w-d-xo.html
Yes, I did like what he did to the Jag but I would have preferred the Cadillac. 👍
What it has going for it is a funeral home couldn't have their cars looking crappy, so they watched for things like rust and bad paint and stayed on top of them.
The mileage should be pretty low too. -basically out to the cemetery and back a few times a week. After that, it's just down to whoever had it in "retirement".
I remember a funeral at a small funeral home in Upstate New York once. The driver went out to the garage and the hearse wouldn't start. Everybody had to stand around (Well...maybe not the guest of honor...) until the Garage showed up with booster cables! (It was a Kodak Moment!)
Yes, you’re right there re the life of a hearse. 👍
Very Nice Mark but you couldn't take the missus out in it. She may say "I wouldn't be seen dead in it" or your girlfriend " I know I'll have to be laid in one of those one day but not until it's absolutely necessary". All the same though a remarkable survivor Mark.
Yes, I get some people find them creepy. Very interesting survivor though. 👍
Jeez Mark, you'd have to be stiff... 🤣
Otherwise it could be a problem. 😀
Looks pretty good Mark BUT I reckon that if you bought one, a certain young lady would insist that you drive her around in it, every Halloween😁 for the next decade! Just warning you. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
Yes, you are probably right there! 😀👍
The new ecto 25
I would say ecto 1 but there must be over a thousand of them by now 😂😂
I would really hope they don’t do that to what is an original vehicle, complete with 1973 Pennsylvanian registration sticker on the windscreen. 🫣
Ghost Busters .
@@Fwdking Yes but hopefully not to this original example. 👍
love that movie. where is the jag now?
Good question. Not at the bottom of the cliff I hope. 👍
Warriors come out to playyay, don't think it's the same model but similar 👍
Yes. Similar 👍
@@markbehr88 thinking about the movie now it had single headlights probably a 57 model
@@chrisF351 No, it was definitely a 1959 model. I included stills of the movie car towards the end of the episode. The only difference is the coach building company. 👍
@@markbehr88 awesome Mark, i shall watch the vid you posted now👍
Naah not for me :P However I'd even give it to someone who would appreciate it... Maybe a Funeral home...?
Too depressing for me, I'd rather something that reminded me of the good things in life as there are so very few sometimes...
I do get it. 👍
It’s cool but definitely not my type of car . Perfect for the movie ghost busters that’s about all 😂😂😂 a small Chinese family could live in it big bag of bolts
I do hope they keep it original though and not Ghost Buster it. That would be sacrilegious. 🫣
Actually, nein.
Fair enough. Some people don’t like them but almost everyone will eventually ride in one. 👍
@@markbehr88 Yes, including those people that call them a "Hurst" .🙂
@@barrycuda3769 Yes, we hopefully they realise it is Hearse. 🤔👍
@@markbehr88 Harold and Maude is one of my sons favourite films .
@@barrycuda3769 I have probably seen it 15 to 20 times. 👍
