Was really hoping we could put things like iguanas in the walkthrough exhibits and give them more animations like the bats. Maybe in the next update they'll increase the functionality of them.
I hope they use this system to do something for butterflies- a flying insect exhibit like this would be amazing, and more fitting than putting birds in this.
I’m sure this is good for future birds perhaps. Having some tropical birds for a small walkthrough aviary would be nice. Perhaps owls or something. So many options for walkthrough exhibits.
Honestly the new bats will make EXTREMELY good ambience in general. With the ability to turn the aviary’s walls to null. I could easily see myself using multiple of these aviaries in a cave-like section of my zoo.
I really hope that if we get another bat, its a more traditional looking bat like brown bats or vampire bats. Also really hope some existing animals can go into the walkthroughs, Iguanas deserve more space.
Brilliant decisions from Frontier around customization. Sad about the loops though. This is 100% how they will fully integrate birds into the next dlc. Convinced!
Well Done. You tell Frontier team a well done. And we hope we could have extra flying animals. Mostly birds. Like here are some bird species that could be added. Toco Toucan Scarlett Macaw Blue and Gold Macaw Great Horned Owl Peregrine Falcon Rüppell's Vulture Red Tailed Hawk and Bald Eagle And I am thinking of a Jungle Book pack: Sloth Bear Indian Black Panther Gray Langur Rhesus Macaque King Cobra Golden Jackal Lion Tailed Macaque Black Buck What do you say?
Flying fox, ghost bat, hammer-headed, greater bulldog, and vampire bat are all good potential bat species for the future.
Bat pack when?? Or even if we could have birds or flying insects, butterfly houses etc

Maybe butterflies
Everyone is talking about aviaries which I get but I'm thinking walkthrough exhibits could be the answer to animals like sloths and tamarins as well

Small parakeet species would look awesome if they used the same system for the walkthrough exhibits, or maybe even a butterfly house.
I think nuthatches could be added as they go upside like bats and would make a great modded edition or a real made frointer one

The first flying animal

Do you have to have a new zoo to place the bats in the exhibit? I am not able to place into my zoo i have been working on for awhile.

Thinking about it, the might have this all along since release in 2019 but what happened in 2020, they hold back until all "this" is somewhat over.
Besides bats, could other animals be in walkthrough exhibits like that? If yes, what?
Currently the Egyptian fruit bat is the only animal that can use the walkthrough exhibit
bat
Frontier did do a great job I reckon we could get another bat on the anniversary
