Now just wait till you start learning to have real conversations in Thai. :-) I am also grateful to have English as my first language but for us there’s the risk of becoming a little (or a lot) lazy. But learning new languages can be addictive! Funny about the kissing on the cheeks - in Greece and Turkey it is a must, and I remember how strongly I felt the absence of that back in the US!
