    I've always longed for breaking free and seeing the world, though my circumstances haven't allowed me to go on adventures outside of my "normal enclosure". At least not yet.

    Now just wait till you start learning to have real conversations in Thai. :-)
    I am also grateful to have English as my first language but for us there’s the risk of becoming a little (or a lot) lazy. But learning new languages can be addictive!
    Funny about the kissing on the cheeks - in Greece and Turkey it is a must, and I remember how strongly I felt the absence of that back in the US!
