Wow, didn't expect to find this on TH-cam. I was at this game. From what I recall the game was 20 overs officially because of a damp outfield from rain, although most people who walked on it before the match said it wasn't that wet. Probably more to do with Yorkshire TV getting the timings wrong and if the 40 overs game went ahead it would have ended a bit after the TV coverage, which wouldn't be very good, so it was suspected they delayed it and shortened it to fit in!
@@eightiesyorkshire228 Born in Northern Rhodesia - sounds pretty French - at any rate, in the 80s, if it's not in the broad acres you can't wear the white rose.
Oh wow! A 1980's T20! And what's more, a decent score.

3.38 in: "Where were Ted Dexter, Phil Edmonds and Derek Pringle born?"
I guess the answer is "ABROAD", by which Sir Geoffrey means "NOT IN YORKSHEER!"
Philippe Henri - yes bound to be a foreigner.

That was Peter Moores keeping wicket for Sussex wasn't it?
Yes, long before becoming a coach. Ian Gould had given up keeping because of back trouble.
ITV were crap at cricket coverage.
Agreed.
