- There are plaques in a parking lot marking the location of the bases in Toronto’s now demolished Exhibition Stadium, the original home of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. Come check them out and also get a brief history of the stadium.

Love it! I had no idea about the bases in the parking lot!
So, bmo field runs perpendicular to exhibition stadium
Only stadium in the majors without an upper deck.
I watched football games from seats that were great for baseball, and baseball games from great football seats. Good times!

Thanks for making this video, I was there in '77 for the opening game and I still have my ticket stub tucked away in an old photo album. Next time I'm in the area I'll definately run the bases!
My pleasure!
Hi! Ok this was so cool! I do remember the old stadium and I saw it many times over the years when I attended the CNE. My brother went to a few concerts there and I think one time I was on the old sky ride and I heard Frank Sinatra doing a rehearsal before his concert. I definitely want to see those bases! Thank you! 👍😊🇨🇦
@@WeGoPlacesTours that’s awesome! I saw U2 there when I was like 12 lol
I was at the Alice Cooper concert,, scary man
My first Jays game, bleacher seats were $4. Saw many bands there too.
@@Sid-gu5qk never caught a jays game there, but I did see U2 there for the Zoo TV tour
I didn't know this existed.
It was a long time before I knew of this too, and I’ve walk by or over them many times.
Same here.😊
Turonno, can you speak in Japanese please.
I saw The Who and Ozzy Osbourne there…not together.
@@glengamble526 jealous! Especially Ozzy.
My dad took us a few times, I wanna say twice? and we'd sit at the far end right field bleachers, lol man what a disaster that place was. My only real memory of going there was when my dad would take off for an inning to go find the potato chip vendor cause they wouldn't really make it up there just to bring me a snack.
@@showdown2006 sadly, I never saw a game there. Looked like a mess though haha
Technically, it was not a good baseball stadium. But it was a lot of fun to see a game there.
I saw the Beachboys there. ❤😎 I have been to Maple Leafs Stadium 3 times (Lakeshore and Bathurst).
@@JohnStevenson-bm2no super jealous of both of those things! I love the Beach Boys. I saw them play the CNE bandshell back in 2013. Was up front for that one, but surely not the same as seeing them back in their hey day. Would’ve loved to have seen a game at Maple Leaf Stadium as well.
Been to many concerts there over the last 50 years. Had no idea they preserved the bases locations. That is really cool !!
@@billm.8220 I had no idea for a long time, either. They’re easy to miss. Someone told me about them back in 2018 or so. Love that they did this.
Honouring the city's American baseball team and ignoring the Canadian football team that played there much longer is so modern Toronto.
They actually have a granite bench to commemorate the Argos. I’ll have to do a video on those next time.
Toronto Blue Jays are a Canadian baseball team, not American.
@@robichjThey play in the 'American League'. Case closed.
@@sirbobloblaws Canada is part of the "Americas". Free geography lesson.
@@sirbobloblaws That's a silly argument. So do all the American based teams that play in Canada's National Hockey League (because that's what it was when it was founded in 1917) not count?
