子供の頃材木商のところでまい日のように遊んでイアタのでこの動画を見ると懐かしくて涙がこぼれてきます。あの頃は丸鋸で随分と後の頃になって帯鋸担ったように記憶しているのだが、材木が切れる音ときはだがきれいな木肌に変わって行くのが何とも言えないくらいすきで学校を休んででもみていました。
台車のトロッコはいいですねこの前は一晩中見ていました。癒やされます。

仰るように子供が遊動円木（ご存じないかなぁ）のように跨るのに丁度いい太さですね。

あの遊具にはそんな正式名称があったのですね！(笑)
最近はとんと見かけなくなりましたが、懐かしい遊具ですね♪

Its unlike any white oak in the states has lots of spalt that developes before the tree rots gives it great character i would cut a slab with the opening and incorporate slats into it that are spaced apart would make a awsome bench.

Also spalted maple is used for making electric guitar bodies: the wood must be stabilized in most cases.
I beg to differ. Spaulted oak is very valuable here in the US

Please have your husband wear a dust mask. The fungus that causes spalting could damage his lungs.
