@@r1ko Ah, thanks, as a fellow kayak fisher, I'm sure that sent chills down your spine. What I like about your videos is you give us the feel of launching, fishing and landing in the day's conditions, and describe what is going on, but without the hype and hyperbole. One of the best fishing channels out there!
Congrats on the great haul Eric. I was really pleased to see you keep the mac tuna. They rarely go back over here in Okinawa, and I'm always amazed to see so many in Aus cursing them and throwing them back! We love to cook the surfaces of the fillets with a blow-torch and then slice them up tataki style, same as often happens to Skipjack here. Enjoy your foreign travels, will be looking forward to your next vid after you get back.
Thanks mate! Yeah I don't mind keeping them. Great for sashimi, or for meatballs and burgers. I also make jerky out of em. This one I just sesame seared and had tataki style. Do you cut them really thin or normal sashimi size for tataki?
Morning Eric, quick question for you matey: Yesterday I added another reply with a link to a webpage I was suggesting - but now it's not visible! I was just wondering if TH-cam remove links on here. Did you see it? If not, I'll send it to you directly instead.
@@r1ko Why did you pick the short 475? Just curious why. Cheers Mick. Thanks for replying. Oh also what size sinker do you get from Big W. Do you think you can go to heavy?
475 is perfect for my build. Any longer would feel too big I reckon. Sinker from Big W is size No 2 if I can recall. About 14g. You can go heavier but I find 14g the ideal. If the fish is sitting lower you just slow down and let it sink, whereas with a heavier rig you'd struggle to fish the top water. Any lighter and the bait will spin more easily.
Love the play by play narration of the incredible action. Really helps us feel what you're feeling in the cockpit.
Thanks heaps mate! Really appreciate the feedback. Not quite like the action you had in your last vid. Glad you're ok!

Would be awesome to see a fishing vid when you are overseas if you get the chance 😊
Awesome vid man 🤙
Thanks mate! I'll try for sure. It's hard when you're travelling and the laptop isn't great for editing. :)

@@r1ko I usually do normal slices, but I think thin would work well if you wanted to put them on cheese or avocado slices.

Hey mate. Sorry never saw that one, must have been removed by YT
@@r1ko Buggers eh! I'll try to write it discreetly in the next message
Great video 👍🤙🎣🐟
Thank you sir 🙏🏼
Nice video bro!!🎣🎣🤙🤙
Thank you 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
loads of action. How fast do you move in that kayak?
I do about 7km/h with the deadbaits in. Without, I can push it just above 10km/h I reckon. :)
@R1ko Ahh ok so that's about the same I do in my revo 13 but I bet I couldn't even launch mines through that surf lol
Hi there, which Stealth are you riding there. Think it’s one of the profishers. Cheers
Sorry about the late reply here. I'm riding a Stealth Profisha 475
