Damien Moore yes iv had them for 20 years.. and I'm about to buy a cruiser .. to be fair my defenders have been reliable , I'm just getting to old for them as in they are uncomfortable, cold in the winter and you get wet when it rains! Iv had enough .

Great video, awesome camera work and scenery. Like the shots where you actually see the four wheel drive working unlike some video's where it is parked in a carpark and never leaves the bitumen. Great stuff.

It was a big mistake to buy RR. It has been just a nightmare for me to buy it. A brand new p400e RR 2020 still in the service for last 3 months! What I have is just a loaner! Customer service is horrible in the USA. God knows when they fix it or what the lemon court decide!!! Stay away!!!

What tyres were on the car? Way more important than wheel size (the difference between summer and winter tyres).

A land cruiser is a good vehicle in some aspects, but if you want to tackle terrain effortlessly and do the trip to and from work in comfort, buy a Land Rover. I have a Disco 4 and can say hand on heart it’s the best vehicle I’ve owned. Never been stuck, never broken down, and I can travel hundreds of kilometres per day and reach my destination without being exhausted from the drive. So in my personal opinion, a lot of other vehicle manufacturers have a lot of catching up to do.

Land Rover has always been in the 4x4 market, its as capable as the Toyota LandCruiser without the reliability of the LC, but it is more luxurious on the inside...
@@MaZEEZaM Which of the currently sold Land Rovers would you consider worthy of a multimonth expedition? As far as I can tell LR stopped making real 4wds years ago. Now they sell imitation trucks suited to gravel driveways not so much 1000s of ks of corrugated dusty roads, boggy messy tracks or any remote travel for months if not years on end. Let alone as a reliable working farm vehicle.
They have gone up market. They know it. The 4wd community knows it. People only pretend they haven't in order to get their hands on a review vehicle once in a while....

Rockbiter Hd This vehicle is well known for its off road capabilities, similar to the leading Toyota LandCruiser but unlike the LC’s incredible reputation for reliability, at least with the previous models the RR has a very poor reputation for reliability, however knowing the history of the vehicle does not tell me whether the latest model rectifies such a major issue or not hence my question above.

That picture of your girlfriend is amazing mate. To answer your question and that of all the others ragging on reliability; land rovers only work for certain people, the vehicles have a lot of personal character and will only perform for kindred spirits.

Head Ache, and to @Emeka Ossai, it certainly is an issue out in the middle of nowhere in outback Australia, you really want reliability in those circumstances.

for 22 years i had 6 of them and for all that time once i had problem with RR sport 2009 with fuel injection sistem (they fixed it in 2 days in service) so dont talk BS my friend...
wow someone got but hurt. it is a well known fact about land rover reliability. here is a good test for you. for on any car sales website and search them via Highest Ks. I Bet you will not find any range rovers post 2000 with 400 + thousand km on them. Why? because they dont last that long. I would bet you would struggle to find more then a handful with 300,000km on it. I do not own a landcruiser but for comparison sake look at the same post 2000 and there are heaps with over 600,000km so they are lasting over twice as long........ keep telling me how reliable your nugget is. @@spale999
@@wayne5826 i have much better things to do in my life, i dont give a fuck about statistics, just telling my experiance with those cars and i will keep buying them until i die and hope my children will follow...even if its broke few times per year, for me its worth every moment to drive it compare to cheap japanese bs cars ...if u have chance, try to travel 1000km with RR then with some land cruiser and then tell me what do u think....cheers

Here and there he is honest, like the tires are not for off road use. Terrain response and all elecytronic systems needs to be switched off in a Discovery to run on river sand, so I dont think its very usefull. Its a car for road and city use only.
