You got very lucky. These days they usually call the police and have you run off or worse. Thanks for sharing with us here. Not many interlocking towers left now.
Have you seen my Nerska/Lemoyne video? I will admit that every shot in that comp was taken while trespassing. Nerska among other property owned by railroads has been off limits for years. Sometimes I feel it is worth it, especially when your reviving a hotspot that hasn't seen a railfan in years. It's wrong, but done out of good taste.
Yes thats why I didn't stand in one shooting spot for a long period of time. That will probably be the only time I go there. I knew that even before all this shit went down. I'm glad I did.
Oh wait; I didn't know this belonged your other comment. I was thinking about a guy from the Pacific Northwest who was "notorized" well in the same way I was by all the forums.
I'm really surprised the tower operator doesn't laugh to himself everytime he has to say Hick. Yes, I still think it is funny. Not too many more of that type of tower left on the railroads in the Midwest
Well if thats true, it's pretty ridiculous. People had been posting photos from there on RailPictures . net before I even knew what NRE was. Theres even a video here on TH-cam of them scrapping a locomotive posted way before I made mine. You'd think non- employees being exposed to welding torches and such would be bad enough. I heard that there were some recent photos taken there by notable railfans. I even think it says on the forums my video wasn't the responsible.
Yes I know which lady your talking about. I don't believe my video could possibly have anything to do with it. Look around not only on TH-cam, but railpictures. There's a photo taken in every spot I was in in my video on railpictures! If it had to do with my video, it was probably only a matter of time before shit hit the fan.
I'm sure you've seen the illinirail forum. Notice everyone jumps on me and ASSUMES it's closed becasue of me and my trespassing. No direct reason is even given to why dixmoor is closed to railfans, just the fact it's closed and how it's somehow my fault. It's total bullshit! A witch hunt. I'm glad I never really associated myself with the big cheeses of the Chicago railfan community. You know John Means blamed me for his actions regarding Metra? Said I called him in? All an assumption.
It was ridiculous. Something not worth getting into over trespassing. Were all railfans and share the common interest. Getting out of hand like that completely misses the point of the hobby. This isn't a damn witch hunt, it's a forum to talk about railroading and share our railfanning experiences.
Thank's, for the view that most of us would not be able to see! 5* Rich
That was a really cool video - thanks for posting that!

Real smart to post the operator on a sight like this. I hope he retires before his bosses see this!
was hoping for the bridge to operate... Looks like a short one...
Sweet, thanks for showing us this!

That was CP502. I was supposidly on mill property there.
I believe it was IlliniRail, in the whole thread about me and NRE. I was informed by a friend so I have not actually seen it myself.

what radio frequencies are used at Hicks tower and what water is that under the draw bridges?
i thought that cp503 kicked u out of the area
Cool!
Current news suggests that NRE is publicly open again. Also turns out I wasn't responsible for it.

Yes I know about that. The kid actually is a current TH-camr and makes nice videos. It had to do with hacking BNSF train tracking tools.
He's been gone. Nothing management can do about it!
