Best camera comparison! Robust comparisons that cover the important modes, and great explanations. I am a layman in terms of camera, and I get to see the differences between the three cameras. Great job!
Very good review showing real world uses of all 3 phone cameras. I like the conclusion as it provides clear concise advice. And it stays away from the Android vs iOS argument. Keep the great videos coming folks at GSM Arena.
I don't hate Apple, but anyone would obviously pick the S8 over it any day. Laid back processing of the iPhone would be better for editing? We got RAW support for the S8 - surprise surprise!
I have no clue why Oneplus sacrificed OIS in their new model while the old one have it. The video is really informative. And the hat is dope. Kudos Girl !
You guys gotta say what "Settings" you were using, HDR? HQ? (1+5)? What? good video though, just.. state the specifics next time. Also, there is this thing where every youtube reviewer seems to accept skipped frames as normal, but it's not natural and doesn't look right 4:50 , what's up with that? that's a fail to me immediately for video if it skips frames. Maybe if you're shooting action but anything reaching professional and/or youtube level of professionalism, this to me is a NO GO. But.. then I see the video of the iphone and see the same issue, your PROBLEM is frame rate conversion when editing these video's. Just a suggestion but please read up on frame rate conversions. Just so you know, not all 30fps and 24fps is actually that, usually it's 29.976 and 23.976fps. Please if you're going to do a camera review, make sure all your ducks are in order. I prefer the iphone focus speed, it's not always about speed, it's about gradually bringing you into the scene, iphone does that, the others just drop you right in. Hence why we don't see Samsung short films... just doesn't cut it in the areas that count for cinematographers. I'm not badgering you just..please.. read up, do your viewers a service. Props to Trans!
G6 camera is terrible... Idk why many reviews say it's ok. It has sensor from much cheaper phone. I got one my self, getting rid of this for XZ Premium or S8
I don't know if she is Bulgarian. GSMArena is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and the videos and the pictures are shot in Sofia (e.g. the video of the fountains in front of the national theatre is super revealing). And why wouldn't a Bulgarian girl have good English?
Not quite, but very similar. Considering the s8 is older they have been able to correct minor software issues aka make changes for the better like (Extremly overprocessed selfies that make you look like a bad photoshop doll) and also its a slightly upgraded version of the sensor aswell as the internal stabilizer is now abit more powerfull. But in general the s8 is not a "new phone" its just a refined version of the s7e with a different shell and some upgrades/downscales (battery as an example) ;)
At 5:04 you can see how the iPhone always overexposes and washes out the highlights. Even the OnePlus 5 does it. The only one that did not overexpose was the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8 never overexposes highlights while being always more bright than the iPhone 7 Plus with less noise but with more detail. Overall, the iPhone 7 Plus is a great camera for 2015 or early 2016. It's simply not up to the level of it's main competition, the Galaxy S7 and S8. Also notice that at that time, the S8 seemingly has MORE contrast but also has MORE detail in the shadows than both the OnePlus 5 and the iPhone 7 Plus as visibile in all spots that appear 'near-black' on the competition yet are green on the S8 as it's supposed to. To top it off, the S8 CAPTURES more detail while you claim it to be a bad thing. Having to work with MORE detail is better than to try and UPSCALE the footage of the OnePlus 5 and the iPhone 7 Plus. You simply can't do that because the detail simply is washed out (especially on the iPhone 7 Plus). Gras looks flat without texture and tree's at some point look like an entity instead of having the separate leaves and branches showing like the S8 does. You did not take the zoom-test with the S8 but did you know that the Galaxy S8 actually can zoom further than the iPhone 7 Plus at any given situation? During daylight the iPhone 7 Plus has slightly more detail and sharpness at max. zoom than the S8 with zoom-levels normalized. With less-ideal lighting, the iPhone 7 Plus DISABLES the zoom-lens which results in very poor maximum-zoom. In general, the Galaxy S8 is the most well-rounded of them all. The Galaxy S8 always prefers properly exposed highlights with a bright shot while having a fast shutterspeed. The only phone that also does this is the Galaxy S7-series. No other phone comes close to the whole package. iPhones tend to offer lots of noise in combination with a slow shutterspeed (introduces motion blur as shown in this video). It's even worse for the OnePlus 5 as also shown in this video. In regards to the muted colors and contrast on the iPhone 7 Plus..this is not always true! There are times it randomly decides to introduce lots of contrast! That said, the iPhone 7 Plus in short is: overexposed highlights (destroyed), properly exposed shadows, lots of noise, not sharp (but also not blurry/moved), lack of detail, poor low-light capabilities BUT it has by far the best portrait mode! It simply is a bad camera as a whole with only ONE redeeming feature which is only found in it's PLUS model. As a whole, the iPhone 7-series performs poorly when it get's down to the camera when put against the Galaxy S7 or S8. The iPhone 7 (plus) has the same megapixels as the S7/S8 BUT on a smaller sensor WITH a worse diafragma. Because of that it is physically impossible to perform greater than the S7/S8. The sensor on the iPhone 7 (plus) simply can NOT capture as much detail and dynamic range as the S7/S8 can. It is an HARDWARE limitation and no amount of software can fix that gap in loss of detail as proven in your video. That said, the Galaxy S8 is not the absolute best at everything....but it usually is and when it is the best, it has no equal in the neighborhood (except for last year Galaxy S7 Edge). I nominate the S8 as being the best camera one could have with them at any given time. It simply never sucks at a particular scenario unlike nearly all of it's competition.
idk I have a OP5 right here with me and I gotta be honest this is a beastly phone, sure it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the S8 or the 7 offers but it does pack a nice punch for the price, I got the 479 dollar version and I gotta say I am pretty happy, it's sleek, its comfortable (although slippery, case mandatory), it's blazing fast and has some pretty decent quality in turns of camera.... it's not the best but I have seen my OP5 take some ammmazing shots, 4k is whatever to me I usually record in 720 or 1080p which gives out good enough quality with the video being pretty stable, its not the best camera because it does have problems but it does offer where it counts and I've seen it deliver for me so I am quite content, you guys should definitely give OnePlus a chance this is a damn good phone, and the speed holy cow, I have never ever seen a phone so fast as this it blazes through every app like nothing, if you are a spec heavy guy when it comes to phones OnePlus is surely for you, best GPU, RAM, and CPU there is for android bar none, and the OS is really well optimized and very very customizable
A great comparison with 3 best mobile phone cameras I used 3 of them and my vote for mobile phone camera straight to galaxy s8 plus coz its A best mobile phone camera so for in market 👍🏽
Looks like they all have good enough cameras for 99 percent of the time. Why spend almost double for the s8 or iPhone? OP5 may not have the best camera but it's easily the best value.
Who disliked this I don't see any reason to dislike. This series of cameras reviews are excellent, well done gsmarena
Apple Fans who disagree with everything that doesnt claim the iphone is the bestz
My beautiful and amazing mistress yes she is beautiful
Awesome thanks for supporting our music 🎵
I just saw your comment on JerryRigEverything channel, you are everywhere 😂
i love her hat, dope!
For some reason, the hat makes her look like Claudia Donovan, the girl from the show "Warehouse 13."
She's Back
Very well done, short and to the point!
Best camera comparison! Robust comparisons that cover the important modes, and great explanations. I am a layman in terms of camera, and I get to see the differences between the three cameras. Great job!
The low light results are not a surprise considering the pixel sensor size of each phone
If you want to manually edit your photos, use the RAW mode on the S8. Stop recommending the iPhone 7.
Love the way u interact and the straight forward way is pretty decent thanks for the comparison hope you see u in next one
Great video as usual Angi
Very beautiful comparisons.
Very good review showing real world uses of all 3 phone cameras. I like the conclusion as it provides clear concise advice. And it stays away from the Android vs iOS argument. Keep the great videos coming folks at GSM Arena.
Great video. Very professional and thorough. I missed the LG G6 in the camera battle.
6:00 mins - isn't that in Sofia, Bulgaria?
I don't hate Apple, but anyone would obviously pick the S8 over it any day.
Laid back processing of the iPhone would be better for editing?
We got RAW support for the S8 - surprise surprise!
Also OP5 has RAW files
Are the iPhone pics using the RGB color space or DCI-P3? maybe that's a reason for the dull iPhone colors.
Great comparison Angie!
All 3 are so similar. Whichever you get you'll be happy. Never seen something so close.
3:44 best part of the review 😍
True review. That is what I was expecting.
I have no clue why Oneplus sacrificed OIS in their new model while the old one have it. The video is really informative. And the hat is dope. Kudos Girl !
Remember the iPhone 7 Plus came out over 6 months later than the S8 and One Plus 5 so Apple are working on something better in the iPhone 8.

Round 5 selfie test-took my breadth away for that moment...
She is just wonderful!!!
really good reviewer 👍 and stunning as well. Subscribed ❤️
Where's G6, XZP, U11?
Timothy Tamara she said some of the most popular camera phone out there
U11 such an underrated phone..!!
Then why is One Plus on there?
G6 camera is terrible... Idk why many reviews say it's ok. It has sensor from much cheaper phone. I got one my self, getting rid of this for XZ Premium or S8
Why weren't the photos labeled? Don't even know which photo is from which phone....
1:10 - Thanks for including Low Light conditions. 👍
I have the oneplus 5 but when I see this shoots it looks the taken pics have bieng done moving to much I never have
great job on making this comparison.
What HDR mode do you use on the OnePlus 5?
S8 has such a great overall camera, the best.
I m confused which one I go to buy.. Plz suggest me
Why you didn't include the HTC U11. 😥
No LG G6 and Sony Xperia XZ premium?? GSMarena?
yeahh but both apple7 plus and galaxy S8, do they support depth effect.......
I love your reviews! Great job
The winner is the reviewer. She's so cute. 😘😍
loved it, watching it on my samsung galaxy s8.
How many takes did you have you to take for this?
Well one+ remained 3rd position but its a flagship killer and less money than both s8 & iphone7 +, so price point also matters right?
0:04 These eyes...... *love*
Nice camera comparison video n u r pretty keep it up👌🏼
what is the best from all ??
Really Really nice Review!! One Plus 5 really Shines!! In video too!! While on a tripod!! And that's great!! Really one of the True Reviews!
This video proves how strong the S7 Edge's camera is, and how good the OnePlus 5 is for the price!
great comparison! Thanks
All my life I've never seen one as beautiful as u are
I have to ask. Why the hell do we need raw files? I think real photographer would use them for retouching so post procesing is not important at all
Great job in comparisons. Tks
In what country do you shot videos?
Sofia, Bulgaria
I don't know if she is Bulgarian. GSMArena is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and the videos and the pictures are shot in Sofia (e.g. the video of the fountains in front of the national theatre is super revealing). And why wouldn't a Bulgarian girl have good English?
on iPhone, focus speed is slow but this has reason It's looking much more cinematic. Thanks for the good review.
informative. thanks for putting in the effort. Wondering how the Pixel stacks up
She's so cute
Yes, soooooooooooo cute.
Left where?
If I were a women I would be angry if somebody calls me "cute" :)
Krystian Stępień Alert ! - just discovered a feminist using a male's profile
Krystian Stępień Nobody cares what you're angry about.
gsma are now a serious youtuber..
Where did you get the Axl Rose hat?
why your website as well as your youtube channel doesn't have as much popularity as others like jerryrigeverything
Is Angie from Bulgaria, too?
Great review, She did it very well.
Very nice video. Good work
Miss beautiful... u r the cutest smartphone reviewer on TH-cam :)))
what about the u11?
I only bought the op5 because of it's speed and camera
andrew ?
did i heard it right ?
Yeah! See you next time!
honestly, she's gorgeous that's why I was drawn to watch this video=) hehehe
the s8 has only a single lens but is better than the oneplus and iphone 7 +
DIGITAL NiCE Yeah And It is also better than S7 edge but they have the same camera
Not quite, but very similar. DIGITAL NiCE and it costs twice the price...
DIGITAL NiCE yeah i wonder what will happen when the note 8 gets dual camera
DIGITAL NiCE but 7 plus makes more fun to use the camera , and makes perfect portraits in night like a dslr on s8 the camera is low shit
I'd like to see more reviewers explore manual and shooting in raw.
What about leica ??
i can watch this all day because of her.
You must have casted a spell upon the OP5 to come last, I can tell by that witch hat. (pun intended)
So
OP5 better ?

Clorex Bleach no one is gonna read that long of a comment.
The op5 is day and night since the stabilization update a few days ago
Finally all over champ s8.!!!
S8 destroyed iphone 7 plus lol
Wow she has a great voice! Good work!
The best parte of the video, is the selfie one, you are gorgeous!

why not honor 8 pro?.....and i know it takes better photos than one plus 5.
Gurpreet Grewal Because nobody buys it
Ap Gp hahahahaha
Gurpreet Grewal honor hahaha. No one cares about that overpriced shit.
honor 8 pro is not overpriced...it has best ram and processor combo and best camera in the class.
Gurpreet Grewal it is

Great comparison . I like the OnePlus 5
This girl is chilled out!!

S8 is champ these days. It can blow the other cellphones in the market right now.

Beautiful reviewer.
Please compare S8 with U11

Loved the low light comparison. Guess the S8's still the champ. Glad I bought it over the iPhone
karthik deep hows Bixby working for u
lean dsz frankly speaking, in India it's of absolutely no use
I am very excited for phone number 8 and S9 and for Nokia 8 and Mate10
She is so pretty.I've come to see this review just for having a look at her.😃
compare samsung J7 pro vs samsung s7 vs samsung s8
