I can't explain what it is about Stevie...it's soul, power, fluidity and more! He gives his whole self when he plays, I NEVER get tired of watching him play!

there are more than a few greats who have blessed us with guitar prowess but there's only one SRV! the MTV unplugged version of him
playing testify on 12 string acoustic is mind blowing.

Love how much you eel his soul and skill man. A great contrast to him going out to just blow the roof off on the first show of this legendary set, is "Tin pan Alley Live with Jonny Copeland" or try a crazy cool clip o SRV Soundcheck" to see how he rolls even without an auiece 2 minutes after he wakes up - all swag, all hardcore, every note he ever played.

So, from Stevie Ray I'd you you definitely have to check out "Lenny - Live at El Mocambo" a song for his wife and also top 3 guitar performances ever. If you want something a bit more rythmical check out "Couldnt stand the weather - Capitol Theatre", if you want to see older Stevie just FEELING himself in from of the whole presidential inauguration crowd check "Texas Flood from the presidential inauguration". @@s550danny yeah I love that one the issue is the version people will find if they lookup "Couldnt stand the weather austin city limits" you'll find out its bass boosted and it ruins its quality. You'd have to go to the complete austin city limits vid (30 mins long) and go to the timestamp of that particular song. If I tell a reactor to do that they'll stop reading after the first sentence so... Yeah. Sucks that they dont commit but I do love that Couldnt stand the weather performance

The great Mr. Muddy Waters said I never thought I'd say that one of the best blues guitar players in the world is a white boy from Texas, Albert King and SRV were doing a jam session for public television fund raising and Mr. KING said you are one picking cotton picker, SRV said " I try" it was so evident the respect he had for Mr. KING and how humbled he was to play with him in the jam session. BB KING to be agreat blues guitarist you had to be a black man twice ,somehow Stevie missed both of those, he considered SRV to be the best. When you get endorsements from Mr. WATERS, KING & KING , thats saying something and only a fool would argue against those 3 men. My daddy didn't raise one...
