Hello and thanks for your question. These are knee braces made for protection, not necessarily just for riding bikes. Yes you can use them for other sports and we have many customers that do just that.
Does the asterisk cell (not ultra cell) knee braces also have the customizable cuffs on the upper and lower cuffs (calf and thigh)? I don't know if that's what it's called, but I'm asking about the place where he uses the hex acre driver to tighten the thigh and calf region closer to his leg. You can do that in both regions right? Thanks!
Thank you for the video. How do you compare the Ultra cell with Cyto Cell? I know they are priced differently and target different customers. Can I get good protection from Cyto Cell? I just twisted my right knee and I am in the process of looking for a good pair (not too heavy) of knee braces.
The Cyto Cell is an “entry level” brace, price point brace which is better suited for people who have never worn knee braces before. It doesn’t have any carbon fiber in the frames, just the Nylon-6 resin and it does not come with the 3-pc patella cup assembly, it only has one piece and doesn’t have the customize-able cuff systems on the upper and lower cuffs. Overall is it a lighter-weight brace since it doesn’t have all the “bells and whistles” like the Cell and Ultra Cell includes. The function of all 3 models is the same which is all-around knee protection. All the braces have the same hinges and all come with the anti-rotation tether system. Let us know if we can assist you further.
You can either pull your pants up a little bit or put a small cut in your pants. Check out some of the fly racing pants, they are designed to work with the Asterisk brace.
Boot tether - how you get that one? is in basic package or is an optional extra feature ? I'm asking this because I'm about to buy second hand pair of ultracell.
They are both very good products. POD sells replacement parts for their brace's so you can simply buy a piece here and there if it get's little worn or broken. Asterisk requires that you send the brace back to Asterisk for repairs. The POD K300 is also a bit smaller with a lower profile than the Asterisk.
there are places where ppl will steal your bike.... now.. at the prices that you are advertising this product... they will also be looking for drivers using these... cant you offer us something that is dirt cheap yet as good or as close to being as good??

so assume that the brace would need to be worn outside the pants to make use of the boot teather?

I want to get these for snowboarding. I know they were made for riding bikes but would they work for snowboarding?
how do you attach your boot to your knee brace when you already have pants on?
