What a incredible song. Great movie...Ben dickey I got goosebumps... I just got out of a ten year addiction from opiates and almost died.. i am 8 months clean and happy to be around to become a blaze and Ben dickey fan...this song touches your soul...
Still listening and still watching Blaze in 2024❤😢❤. I hope everyone listening knows they matter. know you're loved and what ever bumps you're going through are only temporary. May we all heal ❤❤❤
Great movie and an oscar performance from mr Dickey. The scene when he song 'Picture card' was one the most romantic scenes in film history. Love the Blaze Foley music. Great singer, song writer...never heard from him until this movie.
Saw the movie and a Q&A with Ben and Ethan in Austin yesterday. Good stuff, very enjoyable! Nice rendition also, I agree - always thought this song was John Prine's b/c I heard it first on Fair & Square...sorry Blaze, RIP
Realized it when listening to a live version of Clay Pigeons by John Prine, him saying beforehand that he usually doesn't sing other peoples songs but this one by Blaze Foley 😄👍
I love the effect, pickup sound and overall rendition of the song...I feel like the overall imperfect approach is something Blaze would've been a fan of.
Great poetry, great perf. its really as Blaze Foley was singing it. Grear idea make a movie about an artist that did so much ....and .got so little cred and few know today. Thanks / Tony
"And start talking again when I know what to say". One of the most beautiful songs I ever heard!

Great freedom! I've been clean for 13 years thanks to NA!
Checking in on you, buddy. Hope you're still doing well, the world needs you. Take care.

Possibly the greatest song ever written
Just spending the evening searching covers of this song, I could listen to it for hours, nice job.
I fell into this a couple of years ago listening to John Prine.
Blaze wrote a classic.
You and I have formed a cult
Michael Cera has a good version as well. I'm still listening to them all in 2024❤
I could build me a castle of memories just to have somewhere to go. Man that hits hard in the feels!!!!
One of the best performances of Clay Pigeons. Ben Dickey is an amazing artist
this is one of the nicest songs ever written ,blaze lyrics are beautiful

That Guitar is gorgeous!
Excellent!
It was a very good movie guys
Agreed! Go see it! And read the book!
W
That is the best!
Real. Heartfelt. Genuine. Nuff said.
ben dickey is spot on 👏🏻
Very nice!
Solo recordar a John Prine... me adormece y entristece..Gracias Ben Dickey... gracias... excelente versión!!!

Sometimes I am at work and I will randomly sing a line or two, and people stare at me...and I dont care.
Me too, be like, “I’m going down to the Greyhound station gonna get a ticket to ride.” They’re like, “Oh yeah, wear you going big shot?”
id like to work with you
Start talkin again when I know what to say.
Indeed!
One of the few covers available on youtube that does the original some justice
Check out John Prines version....
@@rabby-umight be the worst one, he changes the lyrics.
I love the effect, pickup sound and overall rendition of the song...I feel like the overall imperfect approach is something Blaze would've been a fan of.
sounds like some tremelo and chorus on the guitar effect
Outstanding! Cannot wait to see the movie.
DAMN NEAR PERFECT.
Change the words to the song
Start singing again 😘😘😘😘😘
This fellow is the real deal through and through.
I can't wait to see the movie. Gurf Morlix who knew Blaze as good as anyone said it was OK.
I just watched it, and though I absolutely LOVE the fact there's a movie about Blaze, I thought it was about OK..
Againan Again 👍
i like blaze foley my favorite one is big cheese burgers and good french fries
Great poetry, great perf. its really as Blaze Foley was singing it. Grear idea make a movie about an artist that did so much ....and .got so little cred and few know today. Thanks / Tony
Good rendition of the original! I hope the movie doesn't suck like most biographies!
The movie is wonderful. The book it is based on is even better!
That effect tho is terrible... its a song that doesnt need effects... it needs a back porch and no mic or amp or shiny lights
I respectfully disagree. I’m thinking that Blaze would love this.😊
I like a D7 shape instead , keep picking :)
Love this song, but that tremolo effect is killing me
What is the movie?
Blaze
Based
The reverb was great but the vibrato ruined it for me
It looked like they had him wearing a fake beard in the movie. He should've just let his regular beard grow long.
That pickup sounds like garbage. No effect will fix that. :/
You obviously know nothing about guitars🤡📉💩
That guitar effect is really, really annoying
Same with the strap.
Perhaps turn off that terrible flange. Otherwise, thx for not butchering the vocal line, like most do.
😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
ok this is cool but michael cera's version is so good
Horrible
