great job..im surprised you didnt get a ticket. When I was there in Sep...every parking garage where I went...they all had signs that said no photography. Please tell us where there is a secret hiding place. Great job.
I filmed this from the top of the Aladdin garage, and to be honest, I was actually quite surprised myself that I didn’t get kicked out (I’ve heard people often do)! It could’ve been because of how much it was raining, maybe they weren’t patrolling as much, or I just got lucky! I don’t remember if there were any signs though (there could’ve been). Anyhow, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
there are houses near the airport on the hill right next to it and living there could be a blast seeing all the airliners take off and land close to you.
Saw an Alaskan Airlines B737 Max...ooof. Something I think you need to be aware of. There were a lot of views and comments on your previous video on the B737 MAX situation, but you remain totally silent. A successful TH-camr responds to comments and at least gives out a "liked comment" monicker. If you don't engage with your audience, you ain't gonna make it pal.
Hey Karl, thanks for the comment, yeah you're absolutely right. Honestly when my channel was a lot smaller, I always made sure to respond to each of my comments (ironically something I prided myself on). Though in more recent months, the channel has grown immensely (remember I used to be only like 700 subs a few months back), and truthfully have become a bit overwhelmed by the number of comments I now get on a regular basis. The problem is also with my personality, in that when I respond to one comment, I feel the need to have to respond to all of them (obviously something that's no longer possible). What then happens is I get frustrated, and end up not responding to any of them, or just a few at most. On top of that, as much as I love aviation, TH-cam is not my main focus; being in high school, I often have a lot of others things to focus on, which can make balancing the two a bit difficult (in comparison to, say, Dj's Aviation, who does these kinds of videos full time). I hope I don't come across as someone who's just coming up with excuses; this is something that genuinely bothers me and will try to work more on going forward. In any case, please know that I really do appreciate your support; I know you're a frequent visitor of mine, and even if I may not always respond to your comments, I do read them. Have a good day mate, and sorry for the super long comment ;)
@@pureaviation3596 You actually normally do respond with an insightful perspective of your own and that's a big success factor. I was just confused as to why you had no input into what is your largest viewer video to date. You can over-arch a whole bunch of comments by getting the prevailing jist of what people are saying and summarising your stance. Even if your stance is "I don't know, but many people are saying XYZ" DJ knows little about aeronautics but does follow what people are saying in the comments, and responds accordingly. I think interaction is really important, no one expects you to be an expert (I'm not) but as the "host" of the party...yeah
Alaskan Doesn't fly MAX8 or 9s and the plane you saw taxiing was a 737 - 800 fitted with bottom winglets... I think you need to get your facts right before you start giving him channel advice there 'pal'.
I’m not surprised seeing the jal 787 I fly it all the time in summer
I never imagined that a 747 can land there
British Airways operates 747-400s here daily and have been for about a year. Sadly, they are replacing it with a 777-300ER on March 31.
You wouldn’t think it would for such a small airport, but yeah!
Busiest single runway airport in the US, maybe the world. 20 plus heavies a day. FedEx, UPS, JAL , BA, Delta, Air Canada, Lufthansa to name a few.
@@davidfoster7173 March thru October I'd 777-300ER season, October thru March Is 747-400 season
@Blue collar Gold pockets I'd imagine that the 777X
Great video, loved the 747 landing! Well done!
Thank you man, appreciate it!
Beautiful video! Great job 👍
Thank you very much man, glad you liked it.
11:43 *747*
I went plane spotting and I saw a Lufthansa A340.

Awesome video man liked:-)
Thank you Gemini, appreciate it!
Gotta love that new sun country livery

Very cool....back in the day... it used to be 727's~ PSA. Western~

Nice man! It's a great spot for sure, really enjoyed it myself (except for maybe the rain :P).

I went there too, but didn't get kicked out.

Where is this at? Is it the parking garage
Yes, this was filmed from the top of the Aladdin parking garage.
Pure Aviation thank you!
What time of day did you go?
i've noticed that the only 747 that lands in san diego is british airways once a day and a lufthansa a340 a couple times a day
Love it
Thanks!
I would imagine the 747 has to be relatively lighter than normal to be able to safely land and take off there
at 9:30....how is it possible you didn't get the money shot?
So rare to see a 747 there!
Where is this spotting location
