Thanks for posting this Eli, most would not. I appreciate that you posted this to show us some things not to do. It shows the measure of you as a true sport and humble inyour muck-ups! I learned a few things there...of what not to do! Thank you and keep'em coming. Love your work! Looking forward to seeing that Rim-X again SOON! ;-)
Oh Ed it was easy to make the decision to post as often I get great feedback from you all on improving. What was not easy was me keeping my cool to keep from throwing a few things down range LOL.
Do it again on a calm day my friend! With magazines that actually work so you don't get out of your groove 😊 You buddies rifle is super amazing! Wow, i would cut off my left .. 😮 for something like that. Thanks for sharing the good with the bad! 🎉😊
Boy, don't we all know that feeling! New gear, ready to rock & roll, and then things just won't work. The only difference is that we're not in camera, big guy! Lol! Next time!
I am in love with that rifle . I know you show the good bad and ugly . But , I’d really like to see the rifles potential . Any chance you can get it sorted out off camera with a good ammo , scope zeroed to see what she can really do? There were moments of brilliance in there, my friend. I know you and that rifle can do so much better . With all that wind and the target blowing , you had some very well placed shots about mid way through and after . Talk to me goose .
Oh man, bringing out the big boy. Very nice rifle Mr. Revolver guy!! I was working on a new CZ 457 yesterday, because I'd like to shoot this challenge with that rifle too. Just glass bedded it, so we'll see if I can find some ammo it likes and shoot it in the challenge. This is a cool shoot. Thanks for doing what you do, it is much appreciated, and I really enjoy your videos. There's a lot of nice Vudoo's that have posted up videos, and targets. Some good shooters there. Cool that the first place shooter gets a prize too. I need to keep an eye on the prize!!! I don't think the new CZ will be up to par though, as it is the American model, not the MTR or varmint model. I'm still wondering if Josh and rimfireSS (Don) are going to shoot this one??? Would like to see Don shoot some of his souped up 10/22's. Looked like tough shooting conditions with the wind blowing like it was. Better luck next time buddy!!
I was watching Joe's "Cyclop" video last night, and that is the best way to describe it. He looked like he was riled up even before he shot the challenge. I'm hoping he brings out one of his better rifles, and tries it again. That old CZ frankenstein he was using, just didn't look like it was cutting the mustard, and Joe kept getting more and more frustrated. I hate days like that!!! @@Dayattherange
@Dayattherange Yes sir, I did. I like old Joes videos. I keep hoping he shoots his Rimx with the Arken scope that he's been letting everyone test out. He was slapping that scope around pretty good in one of his most recent videos. That guy is hard on stuff!!! I got around to shooting my new CZ457 on the 16th, but did not email that target to you. Only scored a 62 with that new rifle. The glass bedding is working out great!! Since it's only the American model, with the lighter barrel, I'm not expecting it to shoot like an MTR or Varmint model, or even my Kidd barreled 10/22 that I submitted. It's a good rifle nonetheless. I could probably tighten up the groups a little more, with a bolt shim, but I don't want to lose reliability. I think I'll leave it as is. As it is, it's shooting a lot of different ammo into .5-.8" for 10 shots.
That wind, magazine problems, and scope not properly dialed in accounted for 3 strikes and you're out, Eli. I know it's not your rifle's fault; that thing is steller! 👍🏼 With that rifle, you can post the top score yourself.
Over many videos I've noted that you tend to shoot for score or group from a cold bore and you don't zero your rifle before shooting. Why? It makes no sense to me.
I dont think your equipment was giving you fits, it was you not taking sighters when adjusting your scope! Public service announcement, if you adjust your scope, take a sighter!
Every video, same gross errors ad nauseum ad infinitum. So many gizmos and rests....tuners and rebarrels...you should arrive to the conclusion one day its the carbon based life form that is the issue needing attention, not the tricked out toys. From revolver trigger finger on rifle triggers, to what appears to be poor breathing technique and probably rapid heart rate due to all the showman tomfoolery, to not doing the simple things like cold bore amelioration (yet you derided Josh about it) and sighting in the scope properly. You can keep digging multiple rabbit holes blaming the rifle and changing everything, or you can simply realize in yourself it is you who needs the work, not the tools.
I might be weird but I don't even like my targets to be pinned unlevel much less rocking back and forth. That range must have some flimsy target holders. When the target settled down you delivered hang in there.
It's one thing to show the viewers real footage of a .22 rimfire shooting but to come to the range totally unprepared is a waste of time for you and the viewer.
Perception is that Eli failed for us as viewers and for the challenge, but, perspective is that he wants us to learn from his mistakes, and himself also. Good on him for posting this. It shows us a lesson in humility and an effort to educate from his mistakes. Kudos to him for being a humble human! Good on you Eli...and looking forward to seeing that Rim-X - she's a shooter!
The wind is blowing your target pretty good, which I imagine would add to the complexity of precision shooting. Keep up the good work!
Eli, Eli, Eli..................... Wow, you need to buckle down, with that rifle the leprechauns should have been jumping for joy !!
Keep them coming!

That’s why God created golf clubs, Eli😅
It’s all good. Nothing to worry about. You were trying things out and the wind was kicking.
Dang, what a nice looking rife. Those are some nice range flags. Thanks for showing it like happens. Great video!
Love these challenges. Need a centerfire version, although I’m sure there already is one.
I'd be game for a centerfire 100 yard shoot!!!

When are you guys going to tighten down the target stands. Moving targets are not good for benchrest accuracy.

There is a lesson here. No matter the equipment if your mental game is not right it all falls apart.

it’s not the arrows it’s the Indian. And you’ve got the best arrows and ammunition that money can buy! WTH
