Story goes that while in Memphis, a few shots rang out near it, so the Agents asked for it to be armed with some thicker metal and materials as a DIY bullet-proofing attempt. Upper management caught wind of the ordeal and axed it entirely -- unfortunately.

That trailer was donated to a local sheriff’s dept in the DFW areaabout 20 years ago. Not sure they ever used it.

It is and has always been a major issue. That’s why all the Class 1 railroads have their own police depts.
