I think this is similar to the tradition of clapping with Radetzky's March. The piece is so famous that every audience has listened to it many times and every orchestra has played it many times. Clapping can be fun and doesn't really hurt anyone, since everyone knows what the music is supposed to be.

Educated people know better to not clap over an orchestra and ruin the piece for other listeners. It's just common sense and education, and respect for the people playing. Even a small clap could cover some of the more delicate instruments' sound. So, again, NO CLAPPING MID PIECE. Clap at the end like a decent person.

This pop/metal song comes from an old and beautiful sonata, and there is the classical version of the modern remix. Hope that more of you agree. Also, the claps are a part of their culture; they liked it.
