It’s crazy how serious they make all of this seem when all that lore will become windowdressing within 20 minutes as we find out what the girls are actually like. Their real characters will show over time. Reminder that Subaru wasn’t hyped up as a duck before her debut, and Pekora wasn’t revealed to be a war criminal in her previews.

The BIGGEST example I can think of is the whole Haachama-Haato ordeal. There was no warning of this. It slowly happened and then suddenly it took over her channel.

@@thehoodedteddy1335 basically her artistic talent kicked in and made an incredibly horror-dread experience, like no other before or ever since.
sadly its very difficult to explain with only words, and many of the videos were taken down.
but to put it simply, she made an alternative character to have more yabai-freedom (think of black fubuki but yabai) and it gained a lot of momentum, then hachamma cooking happened and from there it was a downright spiral tug-war between both personalities for controlling the body.
it was all complimented with incredible ambientation with pictures drawings (songs?) lots of streams and lots of lore.

Seriously, give her a watch. Sure, she can be a bit scary, but she’s mostly just wacky. I’d be more scared of her if I was a member of Hololive, but as a member of the audience, you’re safe.
Honestly, you’re more likely to be scared on behalf of her (when she’s cooking) or her friends. She’s actually a lot of fun, though she’s definitely not for everyone.
From what we have so far:
• Sana is very cheerful, an M, beeg, friendly, and actually does keep the whole “space” theme going, even if she has a tendency to accidentally destroy the Earth, so the “guardian” part she still has to work on.
• Fauna is pretty much what you’d expect from the Guardian of Nature, only with a bit of yandere.
• Mumei is a forgetful and easily distracted birb who is very adorable but is also completely unfazed by horror or killing others (in games).
• Kronii is a narcissist but also a bit lonely and insecure, terrible with horror, calculating, obsessed with organizing, addicted to Minecraft, loves jokes and memes, an amazing VA, and is a perfect example of gap moe.
• Bae loves causing destruction and pulling pranks, but the chaos is usually by accident (like with her Minecraft name) or just surrounds her rather than being caused by her (honestly, she’s often the one who has to keep things under control), and she’s absolutely terrified of horror games.
