WHEN YOU PLAYED THIS FOR HONORS BAND AND IT SOUNDED EXACTLYYY LIKE THE SONG OMG ITS SO FIREEEE (also the percussion solo at measure 65 is soooo gooooodddddd) also big flex the producer of this was the band director for it
everyone is saying they have awesome parts and im like "oh yeah! I've got...... whole notes... more whole notes.. the occasional melody where you cant hear me because i sit next to the bari sax who overpowers my instrument in every way , but yes what an awesome part!" (I play bass clarinet and theres only one of me in my grade rippp) although props to the bari sax because i considered playing it but then everyone gets to hear when you mess up lol
After my band played this piece back in December. I just want to take a trip to Roanoke, Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains after listening to this piece. Another reason I want to go is because I'm an Elevator Enthusiast and I want to film the famous Roanoke Elevators.
It’s been 3 years since I made that comment, since then I’ve stopped playing the French Horn entirely. The thought of playing any instrument is completely foreign to me. You see, I’ve changed, now for the better or for the worse, who can say. Point is, I’ve changed, I’m not that person anymore. I’m sorry, I’m sorry I’ve let you down, but I’m not sorry for who I am, I’m not sorry for changing, because change is apart of life. Let this be a lesson son; nothing lasts forever.
I’m a tenor saxophone and I loved that rhythm because I played the later one overlapping it and it was so annoying. I memorized the other one and practiced it more than my own lol.
Playing this in 8th grade for contest, this is actually sick! Edit: I now play trombone AND euphonium for this song, switching back and forth. It's an amazing piece of music, especially with playing 2 instruments on it!
@@parkersteinbach6788 it was also my first year playing an instrument. I had never played anything above a 1 1/2. Maybe don't try n flex under a random TH-cam comment 🥰
I was originally a 2nd clarinet, but I made the whole section do Clarinet Tryouts and I got 1st chair, I was 3rd. It can be a pain. PS: I am one of two Freshman, there are also 1 Jr. and 3 Srs.
My teacher gave me and another girl the flute 1 part to this and it’s for fast meanwhile three other flute players ended up getting the slow part because they “inexperienced “ but hey can’t wait to learn and play this
(assuming the bari sax part is similar) i really wishing i didnt have to play tenor for this piece☹ but noo my band director needed the tenor part more than the bari.
im in brass section on trombone and part four is the easiest thing ever u are just playing e flat pretty much the whole time i really love this song but i think one of the best songs i was good at was battle mage and or under the cherry blossom but my part is not very fun but i still love this song.
What grade level is your bands playing?! My band plays grade 1.5 and this I'm only listening to this because I'm in ll district and we play this. Insane how much more develop your band AND band directors are. The band only rely on their directors, not money.
Practicing this for the first time: “This looks TOO easy, this is probably 2nd level band music” Hearing the band director putting the real tempo of the piece (most likely your first time having to play something very fast: “WHAT THE HELL…”
Woodwinds: Lively, playing a lot
Brass: Rest, rest rest and Oh my god measures and measures!?
(COUGH COUGH TROMBONE AND EUPHONIUM)
Maria Atchison I’m a euphonium and I have the melody’s
Brooke Evans same
My arrangement of this is trombones playing the melody... ow.
The only good measures are 87-96
I play trombone and my first like 40 measures is the same note over and over again. B flat! B flat! B flat! B flat! C? What the fuck is this?
you guys cannot tell me that this doesn’t sound like something that’d be playing in animal jam
Omg it does!! That just brought me so much nostalgia
Bahahahaha fr though
I thought I was the only one 🤣
Playing this song for 8th grade concert.. Super glad I found this recording to listen to!
So did you graduate yet? 🤣

It's Andie hell yeah bass clarinets are so underrated
Neuronize I still can’t tell if we’re rare or not 🤷🏽♀️
It's Andie In the band I'm in we only have 3 low instruments which sucksss
the baritone/euphonium part is literally resting the whole time. like there's a few measures here and there, and then REST
I’m a bass clarinet. This comment is way too funny
Thanks TH-cam for recommending this about a year n a half later. This brings back bittersweet memories that make me happy
After my band played this piece back in December. I just want to take a trip to Roanoke, Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains after listening to this piece. Another reason I want to go is because I'm an Elevator Enthusiast and I want to film the famous Roanoke Elevators.
As the only oboe player in my band I only want to die like half the time while playing. this was a really fun piece
French Horns for life

IKR I DIE
I’m a tenor saxophone and I loved that rhythm because I played the later one overlapping it and it was so annoying. I memorized the other one and practiced it more than my own lol.
I chose this song as my request to have in my band for 9th grade and hopefully the teacher likes it

Playing this in 8th grade for contest, this is actually sick!

I’m boutta play this song in less than a month and a half for pre uil
One of my most favorite songs!
As a tenor sax, this song is so hard. I could only play my main part at the key change
It’s not that hard I play French horn and I have to whole song down within 2 days + my tenor sax freind can play it fully within 2 days
@@parkersteinbach6788 it was also my first year playing an instrument. I had never played anything above a 1 1/2. Maybe don't try n flex under a random TH-cam comment 🥰

its so Jolly and Jovial but i cant help but think of undertale from the melody
this hit hard
Now that's what I call lit
As a bass clarinet I can say there so many mesures of rest but this was fun to play and cut time makes it more fun in my opinion
Played this on euphonium and it was hard because at the time I sucked a sight reading and so they had to get a sax player to help at 1:54 of the song
I'll tell ya what, adding a banjo to this song makes it about 10 times better.
i love this song we are playing this for our 8th grade concert
It’s easy for baritone, I’ll update how the concert went when I finished it. It’s around December
im in brass section on trombone and part four is the easiest thing ever u are just playing e flat pretty much the whole time i really love this song but i think one of the best songs i was good at was battle mage and or under the cherry blossom but my part is not very fun but i still love this song.

Washboard is surprisingly fun in this
It is super hard on trumpet, but also super fun
