Brings back so many memories! Middle School memories! I was in 7th grade playing with the 8th grade Symphonic Band and 1st Clarinet! Played it roughly 15 yrs ago!
sounds like a song that would play on the background of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii, it's really random but it's so true and reminds me of it SO MUCH....
When my sister and I heard this song at our brother’s band concert, we thought this was on par with video game music, sounding similar to Legend of Zelda tracks!
I played this song in band a few years ago. I'm a flute and I love this! I'm in grade 12 now, so my band might play it again at the end of the year as "grads' choice".
Playing this song has always been one of my favorite moments in band. I played 1st trumpet and my fellow 1st trumpet happened to be my first boyfriend so it was really sweet because the entire time playing the song felt like a duet with just me and him.
There a special part in this that makes me cry every time I hear it. I imagine playing this at Highschool graduation and the people crying and stuff and it makes me tear up so much. The fact that William Himes passed away not too long ago doesn't help it either. Godspeed, William Himes.
this son has the greatest ending ever. the festivo where it speeds up and the trumpets and horns are the main fortissimos, it just makes me remember playing this song for an honour band performance with over 100 people. greatest piece ever made.
One of my favourite pieces that I played back in High School. We did it a bit faster than this though, it's a bit more exciting when the tempo is faster than this sounds pretty cool still BEAUTIFUL PIECE!
This song feels like battle music. It's like that song you'd hear during the final battle of an action show, where the main hero faces off with the final boss one last time. I love this song and I'm glad I got to play it last year
ItsTheJay DayZ Adventures I am a member of a college band, this is no easy piece! When you need to practice with many different entrances and exits and over powering sections such as trumpet or percussion, it is a rather challenging one!
I'm playing this at my spring MS concert. I love the whole piece. My favorite parts are the harmony parts with Flute and Clarinet. I'm 1st chair Clarinet. This band plays it extra superior. We suck, our band. My bandmates tell me I'm good, well for a 7th grader, I guess. But I'm not very good. It's just that we suck, point blank. Especially at this grade 2 1/2 music. I hope we pull through though. Great job whoever played this!
4:16 is definitely my favorite part of the song. And I might play this song for band festival. Does any one know what the tuba part looks like for this piece
I live how many 1st Clarinet comments there are, I’m 1st cl. and this is the song that really made me start loving it, now I’m going to school to be a high school band director 😂 I hope I’ll be able to program this someday
i played this my 7th grade year. covid hit my 8th grade year. we were so excited to go to our district festival for this song. makes me miss middle school band and now i’m a senior in highschool and i get so emotional when i hear this song
i love this song...we just got this song last week and i already know how to play the major parts @diortan...i play the trumpet too and i just learned how to play the solo part during lunch on myfirst time trying it....i'm excited to play this song at competition.
I love how the flutes keep responding to the lower brass throughout the song
+est180 esc Except near the end. It's more like the Trumpets responding to low bass.
+The Lonely Potato haha true its amazing how they all seem to be going back and forth
est180 esc Yee
est180 esc - the call and response is my favourite part.
It was more like trumpet and flutes.
pretty damn sure everyone in in middle school band, grade 6 7 or 8 played this once XD
MnKgaming73 damn gl!
Ikr playing it right now in band
Sir TacoKnight More like grade 9
Sir TacoKnight same
Sir TacoKnight I mid state

SAMEE

Samee
Brings back so many memories! Middle School memories! I was in 7th grade playing with the 8th grade Symphonic Band and 1st Clarinet! Played it roughly 15 yrs ago!
the last time my band played this, i started sobbing and i swear a song has never made me feel that way
sounds like a song that would play on the background of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii, it's really random but it's so true and reminds me of it SO MUCH....
RIGHT????
True 😂👌
Omg around measure 32ish is where I get the most vibes
When my sister and I heard this song at our brother’s band concert, we thought this was on par with video game music, sounding similar to Legend of Zelda tracks!
Im 44 years old...I played this in Jr High at the age of 14 and I love this song to this day!!!♥️♥️

i know the piece is amazing for french horn!
My class is considering playing this for contest and I am a French horn and honestly I think this is going to be fun :D
As a french horn whose playing this, yes its an amazing piece for the french horn especially
I played this song when I was in middle school...I'm a freshman in college now and it brings back good memories....BASSOONS RULE!!
BASSOONS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF THE BAND (a fellow bassoonist)
nah percussion better
@@samuelhodgemusic3264 percussion in metronome and rythom. therefore better.
Percussion uses no skill
as a baritone that has to play the bassoon part and trombone part at times cause we lack low winds and low brass, help me.
I played this song in band a few years ago. I'm a flute and I love this! I'm in grade 12 now, so my band might play it again at the end of the year as "grads' choice".
This brings back memories. As the only low woodwind. Im losing it.
Loving the flutes. Good to know what I'm going to be playing tomorrow 😬
I’m a flute player- I love this song. Playing it difficult but it sounds absolutely amazing in person
this reminds me of the song from The Legend of Zelda so much
It does
OMG, yesss!!
well our teacher told us we were playing this and i though he meant we were playing assasins creed but yeah sounds more like zelda
Like Hyrule field !
Playing this song has always been one of my favorite moments in band. I played 1st trumpet and my fellow 1st trumpet happened to be my first boyfriend so it was really sweet because the entire time playing the song felt like a duet with just me and him.

2:25 is when the sad part begins btw. It continues until 4:00
Aww yeah that cymbal part. nice and smooth. Percussion FTW!
Elseano14 that's what part i have! i've never practiced with the band though since i'm filling in for the other class...
@@StinkyScript that was how it was for me too 😭😭😭 i had to wait like a beat on the first bar
this son has the greatest ending ever. the festivo where it speeds up and the trumpets and horns are the main fortissimos, it just makes me remember playing this song for an honour band performance with over 100 people. greatest piece ever made.
One of my favourite pieces that I played back in High School.
We did it a bit faster than this though, it's a bit more exciting when the tempo is faster than this
sounds pretty cool still
BEAUTIFUL PIECE!
I remember playing first clarinet for honour band... man that was probably one of the best days ever...
The twelve people that disliked don't know what good music is, lol.
Liv Rainbow it’s 48 and I’m one of em
@@joshuahong2661 dan I bet you you couldn't play this
@@hexbringer3628 nah fam it’s just a 2nd band piece of music 🤷🏻♀️
We are playin this song in our band for our spring concert and I love this song its the best song we have ever had!! So amazing!
Man playing this om the trumpet was so good always had the chills whenever I played
This song feels like battle music. It's like that song you'd hear during the final battle of an action show, where the main hero faces off with the final boss one last time. I love this song and I'm glad I got to play it last year

Jakob Rosenstein All hail 1st trumpet!

ItsTheJay DayZ Adventures I am a member of a college band, this is no easy piece! When you need to practice with many different entrances and exits and over powering sections such as trumpet or percussion, it is a rather challenging one!
I'm in seventh grade and we're playing this lol

Lol, I played this last year in grade 8 for Senior Band. Amazing piece.
Around 4:16 it sounds like a zelda song
Oh my God it does O_o
Yeah reminds me of hyrule field
I know right! That was my first thought when I was playing this in honor band, today.
I agree. The percussion and tuba makes it sound like you’re running in hurdle field
Hyrule *
1st clarinet
