If the Geneva Accords had ever existed in the world of Dragon's Dogma, they were probably devoured along with the member party's hearts by a rather peckish dragon in the first game after annoying him with their prattling about humane treatment and the reckless deployment of Weapons of Massive Dragon.

Ricochet was also sooooooo freaking broken in Dark Arisen's Bitterblack Isle. Y'know, considering 99% of the dungeon being enclosed spaces. Absolutely MELTING Death's insane health pool was all too satisfying.

I'm ridiculously excited for this game. I've booked time off work for it.
I felt a little bad doing so myself but what else would we use vacation time for if not to have fun? glad im not the only one LOL
@@MrMonkladOne thing I've learned over the years, never feel bad for taking time off work. You don't need justification just enjoy your time!

I took 8 days vacation and can't wait for it! But I completed the original game 100% multiple times and the dlc. Been waiting for years now 😂

I think some players saw the low "power" numbers on the magic(k) bows in the first one and turned their noses up, not realizing how little they mattered.
yeah, so was Ricochet which just melted almost everything in the Bitterback Isle.
that magic arrow rain rapes huge enemies. it's one of the only abilities that did actual damage...

The orb shenanigans... I'm gonna love this fucking game.
You could do this with the Dukes ring in the first game, it was enchanted and gave a 30%speed casting buff so it was totally worth making a fake to cash in for the reward and keeping the real one.
Remedy arrows? Not since "The Shiv of Healing" in my high school DnD days has there been a worse idea =P lol

That ricochet arrow fully reminds me of the upgraded blaster from Jak 3, shoot off a few rounds from that thing and bye bye baddies

Maaaaan I've waited nearly half my entire life for this game. I'm definitely way too excited and can only hope I'm not disappointed. Capcom has been releasing absolute banger after banger as of late though so I think it'll work out

i know i'm supposed to be watching the video but i'm actually so hyped not over the gameplay but the coils of light playing near the start of the video it's a new rendition i think and i can't wait to hear it in game!
I really hope mystic knight is in the game and not completely switched out for mystic spearhand.

The soundtrack.
I hope the soundtrack will be as iconic and as memorable as in DD1 (The 'Victory is Near' theme is just crazy, Coils of Light, and the little jingles that play when it's night time, or when you enter the heartlands near Gransys).
...I was a little worried when I heard the menu music in the character creator demo, sounded a bit generic Capcom/ monster hunter world-ish? We'll wait and see 🙏🙏🙏

At 3:50 in the video you state "one of the NEW classes (...) is Magick Archer".
Just a small correction to say no, that class was in the original game (and its dlc expansion) already, it's not new!

Hell yeah they kept the ability to make forgeries? I wonder if there's going to be a bunch of cause and effect with this system like in the first game, duplicating quest items, giving people dupes so you can keep the good one for yourself, even duplicating rare drops so you don't have to farm as much for them. Never seen another game do anything similar to that before.
looks like some fun ways to mess with the fame, can't wait to play it
The only two things that is worrying me is the simplification of armor/clothing slots and only the 10 Vocations for the base game =/

The title made me go "which one even was dragon's dogma (1)?" but thankfully the thumbnail was there to let me know it was probably the game with Randy Johnson.
I'm very interested in this. I have the first one (the Dark Arisen edition) in my Steam library, but I'm pretty sure my laptop can't handle it. That said, I just looked and it's also in the PS store for just barely over $5, so I might snag it while it's cheap. It looks very fun for sure.

Completely worth it. I bought it on Steam for 5€ too middle of february and I spent over 100h in it. Definitely a good game.

The concept of an escort mission where you can just pick the NPC up and leg it to the goal with them over your shoulder is less "chef's kiss" and more "chef's full-on open-mouthed snog".
Remedy arrows actually cause all enemies to break out in to a music number
Picking up slow NPCs really needs to be in every game from now on

also about the magick archer one, wasn't there was an attack where you use a giant arrow to shoot yout enemies. But in return one of your pawn will die. Yeah I'm guessing friendly sacrifices are violating Geneva convention

magic archer was my favorite class in dark arisen so i am glad to hear i will still be able to absolutely bulldoze shit with homing attacks

Good to see MA got some buffs. It used to be very good in melee but the 'arrows' were pretty mid imo
The arrows did exclusively magic damage so if your Arisen played mostly melee focused classes before swapping to Magic Archer you would do more damage with melee then magic.
MA is regarded as the strongest vocation in DDDA.
This is what moded Skyrim looks like in 2024😂 not shade. I can't wait.
