Do you have any tips for boosting productivity?

Don’t stop! The moment I break (and I mean more than a typical break to recoup) it’s hard to get to the grind!

Everything you said is true. Thank You for sharing them.
Another tip which I started following recently, No junk or unhealthy food.
It actually helps in improving mental health and makes me feel energetic and also get better sleep.

Tips for me are to eat food you like, sleep enough, and make your personal time doing things you love.

As a type 1 diabetic, I have to make decisions about insulin, food intake, basal rate changes, blood glucose monitoring all day, everyday. It’s constant and you can’t take a day (or hour off). I read that an type 1 diabetic makes an average of 200 additional decisions per day in an attempt to control their blood glucose. I always remind my husband of this when I’m burned out by the end of the day and unable to make any more decisions lol.

I've been really into checking on my mental health in 2020. The beginning of this year was absolutely horrendous for me (I'm a teacher). I started turning off my email notifications and told myself I wasn't allowed to do lesson planning or go into my classroom on the weekend. I hang out with my husband and dog and we relax and do house things over the weekend. It sounds simple but seriously has changed my view on things.

Totally agree with the uniform one. I used to work as a travelling charity shop manager so needed clothes that were work-appropriate, warm and versatile for bending down and lifting donations. Wearing basic tees and jeans every day meant I never spent long in the morning deciding what to wear.

I watch One Big Happy Life and they outsource their laundry, cost per pound, and I was like "THAT'S EXPENSIVE THAT'S A LUXURY THAT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY!" but then I realized it is worth it, if you spend the time doing things that matter to you. They have a message about spending money on the life you want to live, and I think you'd like their videos.

I order the same thing every time I go to the Cheesecake Factory, chicken salad sandwich with fries and ranch on the side. The decision to go eat there is an automatic decision of the meal I will eat. This is a similar case with most other restaurants that I go to on a regular basis. IHOP=breakfast special even for dinner, my local mexican restaurant = chimichanga meal, Jimmy Johns= Italian sandwich lettuce wrapped, etc.

Hi Allison! Fellow Seattleite here. I was wondering, is being a TH-cam your full time job? Or do you have a day job you go to? Was curious as I would like to try to leave the 9-5 life but I am unsure as to how.

In terms of the grocery shopping, how long does it take you to pick the items online? It takes me about 30 minutes so in the long run, I think it's a better use of my time + money for me to just go. I do think it's a great option for people who buy more than they need though! Like $5-8 is nothing for someone who has a bad habit of buying extras (granted that they don't also do it online!)

    • @TJustMeT
      @TJustMeT 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think it depends mostly on whether you change up what you eat a lot. If you're always buying the same things it shouldn't take you longer than 5-10 minutes

Your video was really interesting. The work environment I work at is certainly different to yours, as I assume you are self employed, correct? I work in an agile start up, and my team is supposed to grow by 6 people - which now you could probably argue, I do 7 peoples job. Currently, I am not able to structure a, then b, and then c, because due to the nature of my job, I will be fire fighting if something unexpected pops up.
We also use Trello and Jira, we used to use Infinity, but thats the same as Trello, really. For teamwork, I really enjoy slack, thats a great tool of contacting teams. And there are ofc apps, there is this one app called boost, but I honestly forget to use it. I have it sitting on my phone.. yeah, thats that.
What I am struggling most with, really, is I want to make more time for personal development, I want to learn more, invest more time in reading or training, but I dont want to do it on the weekends after I've worked 50 or 60 hours that week.
A friend of mine who works in a similar position gave me a really good tip, she allows "other people" or "tasks" to take up 80% of her hours, and 20% is only for herself , which equals to one whole Friday, or two whole afternoons in which she will either finally document things she was meaning to do, get around to review/process the week, or she'll use that time for personal development. She books at least 2h per week for training.

oh one GREAT TIP: Turn off your email notifications and only check your emails three times a day: Morning, Lunch, Afternoon. Whatever comes in in the morning, you can prioritize. At Lunch you're checking whether someone has replied, or whether anything urgent is coming up again. and afternoon, you can either assess whether anything needs your attention for the last hour of the day OR whether it can wait until tmrw.
If you check your emails all the bloody time, it takes you out of a workflow.

A lot of hidden commercials. You should NOT specify the products and brands that you are using even if you sincerely do use them. If all of that wasn’t enough, you also specify their price.
