Y ninguna de ellas heredó el espíritu de servicio de panam america quedo huerfana en aerolíneas de renombre varig de brasil y viasa de Venezuela que también estuvieron en el mismo nivel de panam también murieron
Yeah, but that's because they were allowed to merge. So it's really only the names that went away. Also, other airlines were started. Jetblue and Frontier in another form.
As a young man whom worked for this great company in its final 5 years , I felt this was the beginning of the end of the United States of America in general. A country in decline in all aspects of a once proud nation !
I share the same impressions. Pan Am had its heydays in the Sixties, when America was doing alright (except Vietnam War). Of course It was a company for profits, but had intentions to build relationships. Today, we have megacarriers like United, American and Delta, but not truly global ir representative of America like Pan Am.
PanAm will never ever be re-born, ever! The world has been changed, the culture of flying changed, the people changed. Coming back would be a disaster and damage to the beautiful legend! It would never ever be the same!
To think that Pan Am at one point was one one of the top tier luxurious airlines around.
0:56 of all the airlines on this list that were flying in 1991, now in 2024, only four remain: Delta, United, American and Southwest.

1991 into 92 was a turning point for a lot of things, and not for the good.
El fin de la industria corporativa de estados unidos
Whats crazy at 1:09 only four on that list operate today. American United Delta and Southwest
the greedy companies
American Airlines is currently being run by the people who ran America West
@@elevatorsbylexi And those same people ran US Airways for almost a decade. Miracle on the Hudson happened after the US Airways/America West merger
The Pan Am Clipper, must have been a once in a lifetime experience.
I get it that other airlines dont want to fulfill Pan am's tickets but damn,
rip panam u will not be missed.
What a sad day in American history. Never fly delta for this reason.
And never fly American for TWA
And never fly United for Continental
🇺🇸
The loss of Pan Am is the biggest loss in aviation history. I hope that we one day will see the globe in the sky again.
