Thanks for the video. I just replaced two 1987 2.5 ton tranes. They still worked, Original compressors ,with new tranes, 15 seer .I figured that they deserved it. even with the price of power now, my electric bill is 120 dollars lower. It was really hard to decide on what's the best.
def lacks adequate air space in a real bad way, can see his complaint the old Trane compressors did not want to die, but i wright the checks that pay for a shit load of Trane AC's and i am very happy with then low numbers of compressor failures I have to take.
Look those orange compressors were tanks don’t get me wrong but let’s not pretend that placement didn’t help. There is no way that’s suitable clearance on a top exhaust condenser
unfortunately, I don't have any preference, sometimes they come with awful LG compressors, and they all come with cheap Chinese parts. so its kind of a crap shoot anymore.
I, have to agree with you the reason you buy a dodge ram 2500 truck. Because the Cummins turbo diesel engine is the most durable engine than the power stroke and Duramax diesel engine.”

My pos Trane quit after 5 years. Could have why under warranty, but was happy to replace the junk. Nothing but problems.

Trane has started to use LG Scrolls on their lower-end units, while still using alliance on their upper-end units.

unfortunately they are all equally poorly made. Just don't pay more for a Trane because they used to be better.

The issue I have with Trane is their proprietary parts that can only be obtained through a Trane certified reseller. What bs.
True for blower motors n circuit boards other than that… you can do it with generic parts…
