Even with all the decay, it still holds so much beauty, to live in a place all your life and Marry the person you love and build your life with, in the place where you've grown and loved, what else can there be but true love, BEAUTIFUL.
You are so right, the French made beautiful furniture! So sad to see these historical items deteriorate. It was a happy home though, I could feel the love. Thank you for taking us back here!
Wow!! I haven't watched your videos in a while. Idk why I haven't!! If I had a "millions" dollars, I'd restore this place and reuse many of the furniture!! Good God I love this place!!!
This is one of my very favorite places!!! I wish that some one could live there and bring it back. It makes me feel so sad the thought of all the beautiful pictures the lady of the house painted and now they will just fade away. It doesn't seem right.
I think this is very sad to see how once beautiful homes are forgotten. No family members to take over the property and keep it up or at least sell it? So much history in this forgotten home. How do you find these places out in the middle of nowhere? I really like your explore videos. you are so fortunate to be able to do explores.
I love this place. It depicts a typical French rural Chateau 🏡. I just get a nice feeling about it, like it was a happy place once upon a time. It is very dangerous now unfortunately. I love the art 🎨 it's so beautiful 😍. And the portraits are stunning. Thank you for showing us this unique place.
I would love to do what you are doing. I am a finish carpenter and I work on many old historical homes in the New Orleans area. I always think, “man if these walls could talk.” I am always amazed at the the things left behind as well.
I agree with you on the comment on if the walls could talk. I have 2 brothers that are Plummer’s & a uncle also a plumber, a uncle who was a carpenter. All of them would give there right eye to work on a place like this 😊😊
That was so amazing. It's a wonder to me, why the whole place hasn't been torn down. So many interesting items in the house, old things and not so old things. Thank you for exploring! I look forward to the next one. Take care. 💗
This definitely makes my top 5 in favorites. Absolute treasure brought to life with your stories. I swear you should write a book Dave. As always much love from West Virginia ❤️ 💙 ♥️
Aww I loved this house. Grandma's house was so cute and she had a portable TV. Like u said there were no more. Loved the room with the 4 poster. So sad it was all just left. Thanks Dave. Xx😁
Wow Dave, this house is so beautiful.I loved the back story you told of the lady and man,who fell in love and lived there all their lives. So sad to see how much this beautiful house has deteriorated, shame it was not saved.Loved the piece’s of furniture left in there, and back then they knew how to make furniture last.Loved the sound of the church bells ringing,it was so sad to hear that the man passed away before the lady, she must of been so heartbroken.Thank you Dave I really enjoyed coming back to this place,to see it once more.Dave stay safe, and tell Mark he is loved and missed.❤️❤️❤️
WOW! Dave this was amazing, and yes I do remember you exploring this house. Those stair's must have made really well for them to still be standing after all this time, goes to show how well they made houses back than. Your right it does look cleaner than before I wonder if some family member cleaned it or another explorer. Thank you for taking us to see this gem again. Take care.
Dave! Here I am thinking I'm too old to fall in love again but I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with this chateau. OMG and her paintings 💕 Thank you so much. (As a side note, I don't get offended when you say "guys." I work in an office full of women and that's how we call each other's attention)
This place is amazing even in the shape it is in. Would be truly worth saving for sure. Thanks for coming back with the real story of this family and home. I remember the first one. So glad to see you out and exploring so many places again. You have a great day and be safe too.
I just love watching all your videos y'all do and all the old houses and so on . It's all very fastening to watch. Y'all are totally awesome and please keep making these totally awesome videos. I love y'all ✌️😇☕☕😁☕😁🌹💖🌹💖🌹💖🌹💖✌️😇☕
Can tell it was once a loverly home & is sad what's become of it... Further, I think it's incredible that the family or whomever is responsible for the property, would just leave all that beautiful antique furniture & other items to rot away! As much of it would be worth a Lot of money - Especially, that microscope! You're so Lucky! 🤭
That tower with all the pigeonholes in (right at the end) I believe was constructed specifically for that: pigeons. Each little "cubbyhole" makes for perfect nesting sites. The large openings/windows at the bottom make for smooth entry and exit flights. Dave, you are an awesome dude with lotsa love in you. Wish I can give you a hug.
The house is really beautiful. In the decay way but you go upstairs and what a surprise the bedrooms were made up Nicky àll the mirrors the beautiful antique beds. Your so respectful in these houses. I love the old bottle's it's a big house people are finally reclaiming the wood from the houses before they knock it down. I'd love to of seen pictures of what this house would of looked like Thank you for another great video. The art room was beautiful 😍
Absolutely Awesome & Amazing!! Thanks for Sharing, Dave! Where is Marky? Miss Marky & "Country Home Take Me Home To A Place I Belong"! Always Look forward to All your Videos, they are Just amazing!
A very sad love story, the ending of the most ideal relationship tends to end rather tragically. Things change for the worse!!!!!!!!!!! Cool old house, but also very sad. Thanks for the walk thru and the history of the old home. Job well done...........
I remember seeing this the last time you went there. Its great to see just natural decay and no graffiti or vandalism. The spinning wheel and sewing machine would have been handed down in the family as these were essential items to any family. The lack of any childrens photo's or furniture tells me it was just the couple living there after the grandma died. It would have been a very pretty home originally. Thank you for this video 💕🇦🇺
What a pearl,a real time capsule. I love those old Mansions with old furniture and paintings and other old things! Thanks for the video! Greetings from Germany.
Thank you for sharing that !! I don't either !! And I live in a thumb print house !! It's interesting as you get older you just ignore stuff !!! And you don't give it attention !!!!!
So been watching the Dan, Seth, Bucky, Josh, Steve gang for awhile now. You are quit a refreshing addition to the crew. You have a Sam & Jess vibe to your exploring. ☮️
Love this will watch many times. Great story line and a great narrator. The church bells were beautiful all the beautiful antiques...wow and no vandals..loved it!! Excellent explore sorry about the scratchy bushes..you are funny!
What a beautiful intro! You can still see how beautiful this place was back in the day and I love how you help create an image in the viewer's minds of the people who would have lived here. Thank u Dave for another great explore. Looking forward to your next adventure xx Stay safe
Some of those rooms are beautiful, the antiques would be amazing with some TLC. I really love watching your videos on old abandon homes, they are amazing.
What a delight! Thanks for the fascinating tour...into the past and into another person's decisions and designs of living. What new slants I get from videos such as yours. Stay safe, amigo.
WOW so the roof is in really good condition! The house had smaller leaks that were not tended to that caused the stair collapse and smaller leaks caused some minor damage. It could still be saved if who owns the property would only sell it to people who would love to fix the place up for a huge discount. Personally I think if this continues to happen to these buildings by the owners/banks through neglect the city / town should fine them as blighted properties. If it continues they should, put a lien on the houses and finally put the houses up for sale as historic listed homes for sale. Someone would snatch this house up.
Amazing place sad it was not handed down to other family members didn't take over just amazing anqunties and architecture and history from 🇦🇺 Australia stay safe 👍 thumbs up
Hello explorers, I'm new to your channel and I just found my favorite youtuber. It's absolutely amazing an beautiful, I fell in love with this awesome mansion an the furniture wow, I'm so blown away how the beds are still made an the very old beams that still holding this beauty together, there's still love in the home after thirty years. Thank you for such hard work to show this unbelievable video 💙
Its Rumplestiltskin you are thinking of Dave, im sure, keep doing what you do as you are the best, so much passion, reshearch and care go into theese videos , you really do bring them to life for your viewers, you are amazing at what you do, take care, love from SCOTLAND. 👑 🌍📽💋
With the right amount of love and dedication, I could see this place being fixed up and lived in again. Oh what I would do if I could afford to buy and have that place restored. With my heart and the willingness I have, I would have that place done up to be fixed to look just as close to the way it was back in the day. Then I’d do research find out who may be the closest relative or friend, and gift them the restored home. If I couldn’t find anyone I would go out on a street corner and find the sweetest couple down on their luck but full of love and gift the house to them. The house just needs love and life put back into it and with the right amount of dedication it could come together for the better. Thanks for sharing this place with us. Such a tragedy it has decayed this far. May God send just the right person or people to this beautiful place to be restored and loved once more. And since I’ve not seen it in the comments, and yes I read several, 🤣🤣 The Disney movie you were trying to think of is Sleeping Beauty. I love Disney movies especially the classics. 😁
I remember the first time you were there. Amazingly it looks the same or even better! Other than the staircase it's the same...maybe other explorers are keeping an eye on it. It is beautiful! Thanks for the update on it. It's one of my favorites. ❣️🌹❤️
love your videos , you have very good morals in the way you think of relationships, people now a days just give up far too quick , and the children suffer

Very interesting place indeed. It’s amazing how some rooms were very clean and others were a mess. How sad, once again this home and all the stuff in it will probably just be destroyed by nature.
First you said that this house was abandoned for 30 years, than you said 21 years, 3 years ago you said that you were there, than you said 4. Just observant. What an awesome find, great work!
What a cozy feeling home. It is amazing from the fireplaces in the gorgeous bedrooms right down to the art deck style frame of the man who probably lived there once. You’re a sweetheart -good and respectful and I enjoy your videos. A couple of things I think need attention. You could have checked the dates on the newspapers behind the wallpaper. I think you should try and rescue that house! Give it life again! Let her paintings hang! You love it so much there's no doubt about that!!!
You tell the most beautiful stories about the places you visit. They always touch my heart. The bedroom with the 4 poster bed was beautiful.
You are so right, the French made beautiful furniture! So sad to see these historical items deteriorate. It was a happy home though, I could feel the love. Thank you for taking us back here!

First time you filmed it,,,,I fell in love with this house. I wish I could give you some millions to repair it. This house feeling is a lot of love.
Sad that such a beautiful place is left to rot....Thanks for the video!
Lovely. It’s heartbreaking to see the decay, but heartwarming that teens haven’t vandalized it. Thx.

218 years old!!!!!! Without the proper care I think its has every right to be falling apart but still incredible!!!! Love it!!
You are truly blessed to be able to explore such a home. I myself appreciate the old homes.
I don't feel any bad vibes or creepiness about this mansion it's so lovely and maybe it's so beautiful during it's glory days♥️
I am sure that it was, and so homey and welcoming once. It truly does have a lovely feeling to it. Blessings from Canada
Definitely, not hoarders. Nice pieces, still neat, very comfortable, many rooms to hide for privacy and solitude respecting each other interests.

Even though the staircase is in worse decay now than what it was it's still an amazing place to go round and revisit ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ x
Love the sound of the church bells it reminds me of the old western films where they go to church and sing rock of ages lol.😄😄😄👍❤
Then it would turn into a town meeting about someone trying to drive everyone out of Rock Ridge-- no, wait... that was Blazing Saddles. 😆

Very interesting place indeed. It’s amazing how some rooms were very clean and others were a mess. How sad, once again this home and all the stuff in it will probably just be destroyed by nature.

You’re a sweetheart -good and respectful and I enjoy your videos. A couple of things I think need attention. You could have checked the dates on the newspapers behind the wallpaper. Also I’ve noticed that almost no one checks the copyright dates on ancient books or dates on wine bottles or even tries to find out any history.
Thank you for the bit of history. I hope you’ll continue to investigate the history of the abandoned.
It makes a world of difference. 🙏🏻❤️
We miss Mark. Please tell him we say 'hello'! Love you bunches Dave..from Debi in Texas USA
