Love ❤ This Song, “Highway 40 Blues” By Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder playing Live in Luckenbach, Texas! Saw Them Perform This Live in Inez, Kentucky Five Days Later after driving 1,012 miles up from Fort Lauderdale, Florida! April 25th! This was almost as good as seeing Jimi Hendrix & The Experience Live in May, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio when I was 16 Years Old! Bravo, Bravo!

I Will Look Forward To Seeing Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder Live again by next Summer in any venue that has Direct Flights from Fort Lauderdale, be it Denver, Nashville, or Knoxville where My Daughter Cassi Lives & My 22 Year Old Grandson Malik Lives! Love Tennessee and Kentucky Both in the same breath and Grew Up on an 87 Acre Twenty Miles North of Columbus, Ohio and was a Lead Singer at 12 years old in a Five Piece Rock Band in 1966 called, “The Young Ones”I have personally owned 46 different Guitars since I was Eleven Years Old and I’m Now 70! God Bless Music, Period!

I just see one, Nate Burie, who is probably filling in.

I love and respect the man, but this whole transition to a hipster-hippy jam-band with constant noodling around the old melodies just doesn't do it for me. Maybe he just got bored after all the years of carrying the torch, or maybe all the jam bands just finally caused him to change up the format and style. I don't know what the cause, I just know the Leftwich, Kilby, Fain, Vincent, Brewster and Mills was the best lineup he ever had. Sure do miss hearing Jim Mills and the style of his shows before the hippies started messing with bluegrass.

@belandu1696 Then don't listen and maybe don't leave a nasty comment on my page...negativity sucks.

@@AwesomeBabyBoomer True, negativity is almost as bad as hippies influencing bluegrass. I'm not negging Ricky, he's the GOAT, but keeping a youthful band pulls all the youthful trends along with him, next thing you know they'll all be covered in tattoos and piercings with pink hair and smoking dope backstage. Skaggs shocked me when he performed with the guy who made the homo-erotic music video, that floored me. As spiritual as Ricky is, I never thought he would be promoting people that did that kind of thing. Oh well God bless him, I wish him continued prosperity, glad he's still healthy and able to keep picking. 💗

@@belandu1696 Hippies are not influencing bluegrass.Bluegrass is influencing hippies. So get your head out of the sand you idiot.

You obviously don't know anything about the members of Ricky's band. Also, he has played this song like this forever. KT are a bunch of bluegrass legends that still play in the style of Scruggs and Crowe. Do some research before drawing conclusions. Also, the future of bluegrass is the youth, so why would Ricky not try to make an impression on young players by having them play beside him?
