Great musicianship. Bryan Sutton on guitar was and is still the best guitarist in Nashville, Ricky is always great and the other guys played fantastic as well. The current Kentucky Thunder is excellent but no better than these guys
Thanks for the upload. Darrin Vincent with hair. Bobby Hicks was a great fiddler for many years and as a part of Ricky's country band but he was closer to retirement here. Andy Leftwich took over fiddle a few years after this. And Cody Kilby would take over guitar from Bryan Sutton.
@JacobUnderwoodMusic Thanks for correction. I forgot about Clay. Good guitarist. Sutton wasn't around long. And you're right. Bobby and Andy played together before Andy took over full time. As you know, Fain, Mills and Brewster were mainstays for many years. Whole new lineup today of course. My favorite lineup were these guys with young Andy and Cody. Saw them live so many times and they lit live shows on fire with their speed and accuracy.
Cody and Andy were part of the Bluegrass Sprouts. I saw them for several years at the Holladay Old Time Fiddler's and Bluegrass contest at Holladay TN back in the early and middle 90's. The festival is still going on. Every April. 3rd Saturday. Come see us!!!!
Sounding incredible as always. Especially with that lovely VHS tape sound. Really sounds good after being played 78 times. lol. Jokes aside, I am glad someone posted this.

I live around 25 minutes from Ralph's home. Also the hometown of Jim and Jesse. Ralph did a couple of original songs from my group. Nice to know those gentlemen.

Lordamercy. That rendering of If I Lose makes me want to punch through a brick wall. Top tier.

I believe Clay Hess actually replaced Bryan Sutton. Bobby Hicks and Andy Leftwich were also with the band as twin fiddlers for a while.

He played the best bass with Ricky. Case closed.
