Nah this isn't insane. It's just SR50 while being aligned. He does the same thing at 2:17. And then again at 3:51 but an easier one to pass the gap. it's a very common trick. When you make doomguy go fast enough, you trick the engine, a good explanation would be... It's like an elastic band that stretches the ghost out of Doomguy's body from the speed of moving the mouse into the direction he's moving, and the ghost makes Doomguy run faster cuz he pulls on him. And only retracts back when Doomguy himself bumps into something. While the ghost is able to take with him whatever it touches. But to do that you have to make sure Doomguy is aligned perfectly with the key, when you have a good set-up and know how to do it, it's like breathing air. What's crazy is all the luck he had on that entire episode.
@@jaymxu oh I'm well aware of all that. I'm not saying it's insane that he did a key grab, I'm remarking at how incredibly clean that particular grab was with such a short setup.
After watching so much of your TNT and Plutonia NM100S runs, it looks so weird to see monsters moving at regular speed again. You don't need me to say it, but you have some mighty entertaining Doom content. Thank you for sharing all of these!
I just watched a documentary on you. I've been playing DOOM since it was new in 93 when I was 8. I've never stopped playing but I cannot get anywhere near as good as you. Maybe like how you were inspired by that particular speedrun of plutonia, maybe I'll start speedrunning DOOM. You're an absolute legend good sir.
Also worth mentioning is that the game is quite hard in a 90s kind of way. At least if you are an average gamer, like most of us are. Which makes this even more impressive imho. Well done!
If you read description he says that his previous run + m8 will be on 3:43 or 3:44 - and m8 is like always 8 seconds so there is nothing to really lose there, just repeat previous run and it will be -9-10 seconds.
How did you get that did you get that fn yellow key card on mission 4 just appears out of kno where that mission was ridiculously hard after opening up on the enemy spawns for the yellow card
And yet again, the whole episode is completed 10x faster than most cry in the corner after the Unholy Cathedral's teleporters
If you cry in the correct corner though, it’s level progression.
Im not sure what cheese hes going to use on Unholy Catheter, but ill probably try to use it next time I play lol. Fuck that level.

all the little strafe adjustments look so smooth in this run, that's really impressive

Not even that many skips here, the levels are just short if you go directly to their ends. Its funny how so much of these maps are optional
