I was in that pub 30 odd years ago with Tony Corcoran from the Tyneside Irish Centre and his pal John Anderson. If John had drunk every pint he was offered he'd still be drunk!

Great video again Eddie, liked the coverage of Depp and Fender, lots I didn't know. I was at one time a regular of the bridge tavern as I worked nearby, good place to come on a Friday night. Done Sunday dinners a few times, couldn't knock the quality but the serving of meat I had on my last visit was pretty stingy. It was good but I have had better.
My recommendations are: Broad Chare, Blackfriars and the Earl of Pitt. They're all absolutely top drawer.

Eddie, went to the bridge tavern Sunday. The roast was unbelievable and we will go again next time we are up. Please keep doing these videos about the city. Really helps those of us that aren't local but love Newcastle.

I will always remember this pub? Because of grandad and the Auf wiedersehen pet scene with Oz and Moxy. it’s Definitely one nicest pub in town. My grandad would be happy to see old the building up and running again.

I know a few pubs he is welcome in. But just thinking how good it would be if you did a feature on dog friendly venues in newcastle. Nothing worse than entering a place to be told you can’t bring that dog in here. 😊

Hi there Eddy I have been to The Bridge Tavern a few times mainly on a Saturday afternoon/evening for a couple of drinks. Never had a meal there there but the the atmosphere is always amazing 👏

Looks a good spot Eddie, when i was home we ate at the Robin Hood Inn on the military road, just up past RAF Ouston, that was excellent. Well worth a visit if you do future video about pubs outside Newcastle. Nice little drive also. Keep up the good work, Dale in Atlanta.

Haway Eddy Man, great pub been in a few times but did not know about the micro brewery though.I am up in Newcastle this weekend for the Rugby League Magic Weekend so will no doubt pop in, it will be chocca!!!By the way the Toon has a fantastic craft beer scene with breweries such as Full Circle, Almasty, Brinkburn Street,Two by Two, Wylam to name a few and some quality micro pubs. I visit the City on a regular basis as my daughter lives in Heaton, absolutely love the place pal and your vids which have given me so much knowledge. Cheers, Andy from Lancs.

Great video Eddie I use this Bar sometimes on match days great little area for bars . I'm pretty sure this pub was used in the TV series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet ? The pub has great beers . I have not tried the food yet but after watching this it's a must . Did you have to book a table or did you just walk in ? . Keep the vids coming 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
